It would be highly unusual for the presidents of the cited countries to show up AT THE BEGINNING of negotiations -simply put, diplomacy does not work like that. Zelenskyy knows this. HOWEVER, what the Vatican is offering is good, for it is at THE END of negotiations that the leaders DO SHOW UP.
