I was late to the Twitter game, but genuinely curious why users with thousands of followers and already following thousands add users (such as myself) who don’t post a lot? Is it to simply to reciprocate a follow from folks like me?

Spent the last week deleting all tweets, replies, likes, followers, and finally, Twitter itself today. Felt better than I was anticipating.

It’s incredibly refreshing to have Twitter back (a la Bluesky) and not be inundated with an algorithm that kept trying to feed me MAGA and far-right propaganda filth. I never clicked or engaged with any of that garbage, but once Elon took over, that’s the majority of tweets that populated in my feed
