RIP Brian and thank you for the music ♥️ open.spotify.com/track/2Uup75...

A cold wet wait then it was all over in about 10 seconds

Found on FB. Ah the memories

Off to Warrington to probably get wet. Catching up on 14yr old me James albums in preparation. If only I’d not thrown away my long sleeve daisy tshirts! #neighbourhoodweekender

Finally got a copy of this. As beautiful as any album released in the last 10 years (which it was). Also you can’t beat an album that comes with a sticker set. #monkees

Port, sunshine and Dusty Springfield playing away in the back garden. Decking needs a clean though.

On from this mornings Mike Nesmith run through, I’ve gone back to where it all started. Currently on album two of this fine sequence of records 🎼🎶🎤🎸🐵🐒🙉🙈🙊🎹🎧🥁🪇🎵🎵🎶🎼

Looks like it’s going to be a Mike Nesmith Sunday #Monkees

Morning walk

Cheeky bugger! Get off my car!

Between ‘89 and ‘91 I was in here pretty much every weekend

That’s it, blame the scousers as usual 😊 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Tonight’s dog walk

Always loved these two albums. Absolutely bonkers, but wonderful acid campfire songs.

In readiness for the parade I looked back at the photos I took at the 2005 Champions League parade. Believe it or not this blurry rubbish ended up being used on the BBC news site. #lfc

A looooooooong week at work 🫥

I must admit I was late to this record. It came to my attention via an interview with James Lavelle (Mo’ Wax). The only thing she recorded, then she disappeared. It’s like a middle ground between peak 60s Aretha and Dusty in Memphis, and as good as either. Oh what a career it could have been!

Anyone like cosy crime and record collecting? I’ve just finished book 8 of The Vinyl Detective which is a great little (if implausible) series whereby the protagonist is asked to track down a rare record for a client and murder ensues. Every time😊 There is also an associated paperback related series

Pomegranate Molasses. You’d be surprised how difficult this is to get hold off oop north. I had to drive out of town to the nearest Sainsbury’s (Aldi, Lidl, Asda… even Marks and Sparks a wash out!). I bet they sell shit like this door to door darn sarf! 😊

A decent comeback single, which is nice as I’m taking the boy (younger) to see them in June open.spotify.com/album/2g6yLR...

There was a craze for Ai action figures in the early days of Ai apps (all of last year ago), in this case Funko Pops. So I’m already ahead of the curve here

Today’s day out with the boy

With the boy trying out guitars

New single is great open.spotify.com/album/40kcvi...

They all look so disappointed at being in The Beatles. Except Ringo, he still looks like Ringo.

Back up to the Motherland today. Lancaster, Morecambe, today I will be in you!

Favourite film. Do I get this?

I’m desperate to play the new Mario Kart World. I’ve never not played one since the original, but £400 on a new console that I know I’m unlikely to buy another game for?!? (unfortunately I’m no longer really a gamer)

Following on from yesterday

Last record of the night

Tonight’s tea prep tunes

I’ve read all the texts on tariff and trade policy, yes.

Just bought this and am really looking forward to reading it

Continuing today’s listens with The Flying Burrito Brothers. Gram Parsons at his finest.
