My latest article Starmer’s Brexit Betrayal: Selling the UK to Trump’s Corporate Vultures, is up on Substack, and it's free to read. 'You can't ride two horses with one butt...' open.substack.com/pub/european...

🚨 Every police force in the country is using dangerous facial recognition technology that allows them to ID and track any one of us. We URGENTLY need safeguards to protect us all as we go about our daily lives. WATCH + SHARE

Thames Water’s CEO defends £195,000 bonus just three months into the job. Shameless. The cult of bonuses is nothing to do with performance. It is for boosting profits by fleecing customers. Nothing will change until water is nationalised and customers vote on exec pay.

Bosses of England hospitals that spend too much or treat too few will not get pay rise. Populist claptrap, not real analysis. NHS lacks capacity, staff. Discharging patients prematurely and subsequent readmission boosts treatment stats but is dangerous and achieves nothing. Fund the NHS.

"I know you're angry about immigration" says Starmer on Twitter. No. I am supernova furious at your casual assumption that everyone in the UK is an intolerant racist. And that therefore it's fine to treat immigrants like dirt because you're in tune with the prevailing mood. Get in the bin.

Thames Water executives to receive bonuses from £3bn emergency loan. Bonus for dumping sewage in rivers, not plugging leaks, neglecting investment, fleecing customers. They are laughing all the way to the bank. Govt/Regulators do nothing. Let customers vote on exec pay. archive.ph/lcNyD

open.substack.com/pub/european... The absolute disappointment of Starmer - and this Starmer government…. 😞

The Financial Times interviewed me a few weeks ago, they will write an article about the impacts of Freeports and Special Economic Zones on taxpayers, and communities throughout the UK. Article comes out in June.

“Despite all of these arrivals there are still 131,000 vacancies in care. The sector say there is no way they can fill these jobs with British workers” The care sector is already on its knees and the government knows it

Sounds like a plan

Found these stats interesting (via Mail Online). We have only 240 asylum seekers living in North Northants. 6.5 in every 10,000 people. Our population is 360,000. Yet it became an election issue last week & helped Reform to victory here.

Starmer’s Anti-British Vassalism Hands Britain to Corporate Overlords Keir Starmer’s partnership with BlackRock is a betrayal of British sovereignty. Why everyone who values democracy, egalitarianism, and saving the planet from predators like Blackrock should speak out. A thread

"Conservatives have created this hostile environment.. we should welcome people wherever they come from.. the UK is better because of immigration.. Lab has been a bit scared of making the positive case for immigration.. we need to turn that round" The most duplicitous politician in my lifetime

Yet again Guardian overlooks Zone Fever. £64 billion of public money is being spent on 74 SEZs and 12 Freeports over the next 25 years. I will continue to highlight why free zones are stealth killers of the commons, they are a costly and inefficient policy. www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Palantir have contracts with the NHS, the police, and the Ministry of Defence. Alex Karp is CEO, while Peter Thiel is the Chairman and Director. Palantir's tech is used by the IDF, with Karp expressing pride and support of Israel 'in every way we can’. Thread

Raising Awareness About Free Zones: A Triad of Political Support (Tories, Labour, Reform UK) and the EU State Aid Conflict Some of you know that I write a lot about the dangers of Freeports and Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in the UK. Thread publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm5804/cm...

What Happens When American Billionaires Build A Private City In Your Country? Case Study Honduras. There are 5 ISDS lawsuits against the Honduran Govt. Zone Fever must be taken seriously, it's already here in the UK. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9xm...

£2,000 a year for your water bill. This is the future if we leave water in private hands. We have to act now – and put the private water industry out of business for good. Join the pledge to strike today 👉 takebackwater.uk

What Rayner is doing here reveals her party's disdain for democratic oversight and the handing over of green space to Blackrock whose next move is to identify UK land as 'nature's assets' in a new addition to their financial portfolio. Thread

£64 billion of public money is being spent on 74 SEZs and 12 Freeports over 25 years. Free zones are stealth killers of the commons. The reality of job creation efficiency'-costs £896,246–£936,693 per job, which will significantly undermine growth. Taxpayers fleeced to subsidise corporate hegemony.

NEW 👀 The Treasury won’t tell us what it discussed with Shein before the controversial fast-fashion giant got regulatory approval to list on the London Stock Exchange, despite allegations of slave labour in its supply chain 🤐 goodlaw.social/2un2

NHS planning to cut doctors/nurses jobs, maternity and A&E services to meet the govt's “eye watering” NHS savings. Cuts will force more people to go private. Healthcare must come before fiscal rules. Private firms milking 30%-40% profit from NHS contracts. End privatisation. Tax the rich.

I get told “give Labour a chance!” “Where did you expect them to get us, in ten months?” If someone is driving in the wrong direction, you point it out before they reach their destination. They have poor plans for the NHS, and are increasing privatisation. I’m not waiting 5 years to talk about it🚨

Labour is destroying the NHS www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/05... People voted Labour to save the NHS, not to destroy it, but that is what it is doing, and it is clearly doing so deliberately and with determination. In the process. Labour is destroying itself.

Sounds like Labour are sprinting to get a US trade deal done before their 19 May EU talks. Key things to watch out for: - Concessions we made? - Hampers our EU talks? - Stops us rejoining the EU? - Leaves us net worse off than before Trump's tariffs? - Stops future Trump tariffs on other sectors?

Reform UK’s plans to obstruct green energy projects in Lincolnshire put at risk almost £1bn in local investment and more than 12,000 jobs, How many people analysed policies before voting for Reform, the party that also voted against worker rights.

An anniversary worth marking. I'm sure we're going to see the very people who have trashed its legacy seek to appropriate WW2 today - so let's remember what was really fought for: peace, a more united Europe, a land fit for heroes (mark 2) and the defeat of fascism.

LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE, NOT MCSWEENEY, MANDELSON & MCFADDEN! You ignored the people, you suffered the consequences. You will again unless you rejoin the SM & CU and rejoin the EU. IT’S WHAT THE PEOPLE WANT! Worry about us, not Farage!

Private equity looting the NHS. Five firms - Newmedica, Optegra, SpaMedica, CHEC and ACES made £169m profit from cataract contracts. Profit margin for NHS work is 32% to 43%. Highly leveraged firms. Public purse pays their interest charges. Public money buys less. Privatisation ripping-off people

The time has come. EVERYONE who follows me, please repost, share and spread this fundraiser to provide legal defense for whistleblowers in America, including my friend Miles Taylor, who Trump has ordered to be investigated for treason, for the “crime” of criticizing him. Freeports have already cost the public nearly £20bn – yet Labour want more of them? By @europeanpowell.bsky.social in the @thecanaryuk.bsky.social www.thecanary.co/long-read/20...

England faces drought as reservoir water levels dwindle. Rationing beckons. Population increased but no new reservoirs for 35 yrs; no desalination plants. Companies fleeced customers, borrowed to pay high dividends, low investment. People pay for privatisation follies. End the scam. Nationalise.

Do any of the people voting for Reform realise that Farage advocates scrapping a free NHS? 😫 Wonder how they fancy bankrupting themselves paying for their own healthcare … 🤔

Roughly 17,000 councillors in the UK. Nearly 6500 Labour. Just over 5000 Tory. 3000 Lib Dem. Reform have 799 and suddenly N.F. is being touted by the media as the next Prime Minister? The Green Party have 850 councillors. Why aren't the Green Party being bigged-up by the press? Seriously, why?

My latest article in @thecanaryuk.bsky.social digs into the astronomical costs to taxpayers of Labour’s 12 deregulated Freeports and 74 SEZs. Please read and share!

Tory legacy. 1.15m people over the age of 60 waited more than 12 hours in A&E depts in England hospitals last year. Risk of 12 hour wait increased with the age of the patient. Lives endangered whilst Tories handed tax cuts to corporations/rich. Democide is a political choice.

Starmer doesnae care whether he's out on his ear in 4yrs time. His job isn't to make your life better. It's to carve up the UK into SEZs and to ensure that it's sold off to big Corporations. Open your eyes, folks.

Astronomical Costs for Taxpayers as the Tories and now Labour leech public money to subsidise companies in 86 deregulated Free zones. Now let’s talk money—your money. By 2024, the government has spent £19.78 billion on 12 deregulated Freeports and SEZs. Thread

steady surge in sigs to this new petition. It’s time to stand up & be counted if you think we need plurality, more fairness in political coverage so ALL parties get their rightful share. propaganda style coverage must stop. People waking up to the manipulation petition.parliament.uk/petitions/71...

Reminder - Palantir now has huge contracts with the NHS, the British Police Force, and the Ministry of Defence x.com/europeanpowe...

Ever get the feeling you’re being had?

NatWest profits soar 36% as full privatisation looms. After the 2007-08 crash UK govt bailed it out for £46bn. Tory/Labour sale of shares expected to recoup £25bn. Another state subsidy to the City/rich. Natwest could have become UK's public bank to revive the economy, but govts lack vision.

Today is a day to avoid all social media. My head is not in a place to contend with the outpouring of far right gloating that will be spewed out 😟

100% right, Labour are doing as little as they possibly can and doing it badly via @joecguinan.bsky.social

A gentle reminder from Mind for those on antidepressants in this heat - not everyone knows this, so please spread the word and stay safe ☀️ @mindcharity.bsky.social

Alternatively you could fund councils to provide regular bin collections and have good local recycling and waste disposal facilities.

If you're planning on voting in the local elections tomorrow, don't forget your photo ID! (Spread the word.)

The Financial Times has a specialist publication called FDI Intelligence, they interviewed me today about the progress of UK Freeports and the opportunities and risks they present to communities across the country. 1/2

I often say it isn’t government who’s in charge, their donors and the predatory businesses they have signed deals with e.g. BlackRock, who are. Most want the country to, at the bare minimum, rejoin the SM & CU, if gov. truly represented the people, what’s stopping them? Donors & big business.
