I've been reflecting on the questions that have helped me rethink my assessment practices. Here are four of the biggest ones. www.tylerrablin.com/blog/four-qu...

One of my favorite moments from my time in the Tetons last week. This sunset was incredible.

I promise I will get back to educational content eventually, but right now my heart and brain are still in the Tetons taking photos.

Today was one of those experiences that make you think, “Maybe magic does exist.”

Took a couple personal days to escape into the Tetons before things get too busy in national parks. These are from the first night.

"In essence, self-efficacy involves intentionally providing students with evidence of early success to help them build the belief that they can be successful in the future." @mrrablin.bsky.social via @edutopia.org www.edutopia.org/article/boos...

Loved getting to sit down and have a conversation with @tatertutt.bsky.social about assessment. The article below is an edited version of that conversation. www.edutopia.org/article/tyle...

Common bird in a common place, but this moment felt like magic to me last night.

Brace for screaming: AVERAGING GRADES IS THE FOUNDATION OF INEQUITABLE AND INACCURATE GRADING PRACTICES THAT REQUIRE “EQUITY” BANDAIDS WITH UNINTENDED AND OFTEN NEGATIVE SIDE EFFECTS TO FIX. Rant over.

I'm excited for the responses on this one. This is one of the trickiest moments to navigate in the classroom, when the student is on the tipping point of giving up. #EduInFocus

The next question is up in the #EduInFocus slow chat. I'm excited to hear what people have to say about this one.

Q2 in this slow chat: After an assessment, what’s something you do that makes the learning stick? Join the conversation anytime using #EduInFocus. 🔍 💬 Look out for the next question tomorrow at noon PT.

Here we go! First question is up. #EduInFocus

This kicks off today!
