My best friend is on his school's board of directors at FSU. He's there to present a scholarship. He was walking from his hotel to the student union when the shooting started. Had he left a few minutes early, he'd have been in the middle of it. He's safe. I'm fucking shaking right now.

My multi-billion dollar employer moved everyone from a fully solvent pension plan to a "Contribute to your 401k if you want to. Or not. We don't give a shit" plan several years ago. Lots of people losing their ever loving minds today as they're liberated of their hopes to ever retire.

Wife works a toxicly stressful job and has health issues that have been caused by it. The job is, literally, making her sick. She wants to quit, recover, and find other work. We now have to balance this on what the economy/job market is going to be like because Elmo want to tank it all.

One house on my street has put away their Trump yard signs. Everyone else has left them in place or moved them closer to their houses in their landscaping. They're going to be permanent lawn decorations. These people are not well.

Trying to help my wife find a new Gyn to look at a cyst/pollop/tumor (?). Nothing available until late January at the earliest. Much of the info on our insurance's website is out of date - Contact info is wrong or they're no longer in network. The fuck am I paying $300 a month for? This is madness.
