What do we think?🤔 Hmm…. A Daily Mail headline so clearly designed to make you furious. Being shared by salivating Tory MPs who love a good rage farming story! So, what’s going on here? Let’s take a look!👀 🧵 1/13

Oooh, you mean it's OK to leave, realise it's a mistake, then rejoin? 😉

Well this couldn’t have come at a better time www.bbc.com/news/article...

BREAKING: Sauron and Saruman's former alliance in ruins following Saruman's attempts to find the Ring for himself. The two are currently engaged in a Palantír feud.

this is like drake and kendrick lamar but they're both drake

Men are too emotional to use social media

My daughter got both these books from the library. Highly recommend for primary teachers especially! #historyteacher

Always pleased to be able to add to my stock of historically accurate anti-immigrant slurs! Newest additions: 'false Lombard’, ‘strong French whoreson’, and 'rank Scot'. 🗃️ New #OpenAccess article by Bart Lambert and Josh Ravenhill: doi.org/10.25162/vsw...

Very much looking forward to this!

Apologies to any trying to buy the book. Amazon and Waterstones taking longer than anticipated. Available at Brown's Books www.brownsbfs.co.uk/Product/McCo...

The adjustment to applying for non teaching jobs after being in the teaching environment for so long is absolutely wild. I honestly think we have no idea how unique our recruitment processes are. No-one in the rest of the world is in as much of a hurry.

The far right are coming for abortion in the UK. People said it would never happen. But it is a natural consequence of the reactionafu anti-feminist politics we have allowed to fester - even if it has been dressed up as "sex-based rights". Time to fight back. www.thenational.scot/news/2519525...

Can’t believe we’ve finally found out what was in Marsellus Wallace’s brief case. #missionimpossible

I had a dream last night that I started a job in a school but the classroom had no furniture so we had to search around for some to start the lesson. Then I started teaching the cycle of prosperity in 1920s America, complete with a diagram, which dream me absolutely smashed. #historyteacher

It’s utterly horrifying to see the comments online about events in Liverpool. Why are people so desperate to exploit a tragic event to further their own racist agenda? Imagine that that’s how your brain works.

Given how unpopular Starmer is this is quite a reflection on Farage and Badenoch.

All the people complaining that the police have said the Liverpool driver was white British are the same people who made it necessary for the police to say he was white British.

On his way to another failed audition.

British Summer Time.

Happy Sunday.

Definitely the funniest bit of this is Vance’s Irish roots being debunked by a taxpayer-funded effort by DUP ministers trying to claim Vance for the unionist side.

Scissor Sisters, you were amazing. 21 years after first seeing them, I’ve now seen them for the 4th (?) time. Alison Goldfrapp supporting was an amazing bonus.

This is where I’m staying tonight. My favourite part was the graveyard as I pulled in. Not sure the former occupants of this place would be down with the Scissor Sisters gig that I’m off to.

If you’re still on X please read this. It can’t be saved, it truly is a far right cesspit.

Thought I was staying at a spa hotel in Leeds this weekend. In fact I’m staying at an old Catholic retreat. *unpacks swimming suit*

Amazing work @colinmccormick.bsky.social ! Lovely to hear your dulcet tones again.

Sliding into half term

I’ve had the privilege of working with Eithne recently and this book and website are wonderful.

We are changing our opening to y8 to an enquiry into the wars of the three kingdoms as we currently don’t mention it at all. As we chatted about it today, @msquinnhistory.bsky.social’s HA session was at the forefront of that conversation. I think next years y8 are in for an academic treat.

There are GC people out there who genuinely believe that this is OK for the “greater good”. It’s abhorrent.

Please understand that this is being asked because there is no HOD for Geography. If you were to purchase a SOW/resources for KS3 Geography, what would you buy? Looking for the whole shebang, lessons et al. Please not Oak. #geographyteachers #edusky
