Afternoon @mrjamesob.bsky.social

The @iaeaorg.bsky.social DG Rafael Gross says the Iranians "have also reported that at present the Esfahan and Fordow sites have not been impacted." If (big if) that remains the case, this is a decapitation strike and not a serious effort at degrading the nuclear infrastructure.

People in the West Bank were afraid that this was coming - that once Gaza had been sufficiently subdued, they'd be next. Please don't miss this because of all the noise about Iran.

Hearing this from quite a few people in Reform UK-controlled councils. From a local reader: "There are rumours as in other Reform UK controlled councils that a number of those elected stood to ‘make up numbers’ & never thought they would be elected & now don’t feel able to commit the time required"

Yes he’s a dictator. No he doesn’t have to remove elections to prove that. He just hasn’t done it yet.

Done!

Everyone should write to their MP saying: Israel’s attack on Iran is insane. It is also being used to distract from Gaza, where internet has been cut, and the West Bank, where settlements are aggressively expanding. The UK government MUST recognise the State of Palestine now. Does your MP agree?

Billionaires make bad politicians. Musk and Trump think business smarts translate to government, but politics isn’t about winning at all costs. It’s compromise, not control. And history shows: when entrepreneurs enter politics, chaos usually follows. Full story by ‘Slicker’ in the latest issue.

Martin Lewis’ charity has warned that Labour’s changes to the Personal Independence Payment (PIP), a key benefit for individuals with long-term health conditions or disabilities, will have a “catastrophic impact” www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

This is rather well put. In a week: a Member of Congress criminally charged with protest, a Senator handcuffed, a union leader charged, the military on the streets of a major city against the wishes of the governor and mayor while the Federal government claims it's "liberating" the people there...

11 Mexican families founded El Pueblo de Los Angeles in 1781. Do go on why Angelinos shouldn't fly a Mexican Flag.

Efficient resistance means pushing back against fascism & pressuring it both on the streets as in the court rooms. Scenes from Tucson Arizona where protestors cornered Trump regime ICE troops, sprayed them in self-defence. Protestors kettled ICE & used their own riot control methods. #3E #StopICE

Looks like Farage has dropped Ant Middleton as Reform’s candidate for Mayor of London. What was it that concerned him about the tax-avoiding, Tommy Robinson supporter who assaulted a female police officer and wants to start an organisation based on the Nazi Brownshirts?

Kemi is a generational comedic talent. I am fascinated by her. Genuinely one of the oddest people in politics at the moment (and that is a HIGH bar)

the qatar men’s world cup already showed us the depth of infantino’s callous greed, but it’s still outrageous that he’s going to stand by smiling while trump turns all of fifa’s u.s.-based events into hunting grounds for ICE

Thank you for your attention to this matter. #AccountabilityForJanuary6th

Going too far, or telling the truth?

Another important thread. There’s so much going on in the world that some things pass you by. #Georgia👇🏻

The kind of human performance that AI will never be able to match. Imagine if the recourses currently being pumped into AI were given to the education of the next generation of creative people.

Not surprising really, especially when England so often play against much weaker opponents. It makes them look better than they are.

Nail on head back in 1981!

Good goal tbf. 🤷🏻‍♀️
