The last 3 days - Bluff to Blanding via Cedar Mesa, to Hanksville on Rte95 to Bullfrog on the Notom Rd in Capitol Reef, back over the Burr Trail to Boulder, then dropping into Escalante on Rte12, and up Hell's Backbone onto the Aquarius Plateau may be one of the world's perfect ADV routes. #motosky

I love an old-school campground - Sleepy Hollow near Caineville, UT. When was the last time you saw a working pay phone and a powdered soap dispenser? Also, this is my load out. ~50 pounds w/o food and water. Probably could go lighter, but I like my comforts 😌. #motosky

Without a shred of irony, I can say Hanksville is my favorite town in Utah. Obligatory shot of that place you see in every 4WD TV ad made since 2022. #motosky

Section 1 of the Utah Backcountry Discovery Route (slightly modified) in the books. A little mud, a little sand, a lot of amazing. #motosky

Home sweet home, Cadillac Ranch campground, Bluff, UT. Turning in early for a long dirt route tomorrow. #motosky

Now we’re getting somewhere. #motosky

As towns with “springs” in the name go, Pagosa Springs is alright.

This Cenotaph-ass lookin’ shower head at the Pagosa Springs Quality Inn scared the shit out of me.

Snow on the pass between Dulce, NM and Pagosa Springs, CO. What a cold and wet day - it rained mostly nonstop from Zia Pueblo to Pagosa. I’m heading for the hot springs! #motosky

Cuba, NM. Raining buckets 🙄 #motosky

All suited up, and we’re off! #motosky

After a couple of work-related delays it’s time to cast off on the big adventure today. Went for another ride yesterday all loaded up, including some dirt. Balance seems solid. I’m sitting at only ~50 lbs of gear. The dry bag isn’t packed perfectly, but I’ll get it dialed in. #motosky #adv

Counterpoint: your clutch modulation sucks.

25% tariff on a whiskey drink 37% tariff on a Vodka drink 85% tariff on a Lager drink 110% tariff on a cider drink 132% tariff on songs that remind you of the good times 138% tariff on songs that remind you of the better times

I love that these are getting rehabilitated after such a tepid reception when they hit the market.

Speaking of Harbor Freight, this Icon 1/4” ratchet and bit set is excellent. I got it for my moto tool kit, super versatile with lots of configurations, very fine ratcheting action, and real tough. I really hammered on some caliper bolts and such, no problems. $40 is steep for HF, but recommended.
