Do we think the Pope is a Bears fan?

This person I follow on the other place keeps a running thread of Trump administration shenanigans paired with episode titles in the style of It’s Always Sunny and I think “The Gang Files a Letter” might be the funniest one yet

Basically yes

Do you know the difference between “$2 trillion” and “$150 billion”? About $2 trillion.

someone should FOIA the process that led to the creation of this image

The thing about foreign students and the first amendment is that the first amendment isn't really supposed to be a "right" that is granted to individuals as a privilege of citizenship; it's supposed to be a restraint on the power of the government.

I’ve been sort of idly keeping track of all the points in the Declaration of Independence’s bill of particulars that arguably apply to the Trump Admin. This is the first four-in-a-row I’ve hit. www.archives.gov/founding-doc...

Local Indivisible member was abducted by ICE in Washington. If you're in the state, please elevate this thread to your electeds and ask for their help in getting his release.

Tulsi Gabbard and John Ratcliffe are testifying in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee this morning. I have some questions.

“Good news, I’ve finally found a collection of premier-league cretins who make you lot look like the team that broke Enigma at Bletchley.”

Uh oh the Trump administration accidentally added us to their group chat

Alright, anyone able to get added to the "Invading Greenland" Signal chat?

I’m old enough to remember when Secretary Hegseth tried to publicly mock Judge Reyes—suggesting that she didn’t know what she was doing when it comes to protecting our national security. It was … two days ago.

The president is insisting he was out of the loop when his underlings were planning a military strike?

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...

"as I write this [...] after 6pm" This judge is ready to kill somebody

Trump nominated a guy to the bench. Everyone said he was a lazy ideologue with bad temperament and the usual suspects dismissed that as liberal rubbish. Anyway he just issued a dissent from a Ninth Circuit opinion in the form of a YouTube video with Old Spice ads in which he waves guns around.

TIRED: 11:59 p.m. filing deadlines. WIRED: 5 p.m. filing deadlines. INSPIRED: Noon filing deadlines. (Yes, this is a niche post, but it makes me happy.)

I know this first hand. When I was a child, my entire community was branded as spies and sabateurs, justifying our internment inside barbed wire camps for years without due process, trial or charge.

14 holes in one, slightly disappointing round but it got the job done

It’s free speech if we like it, otherwise it’s a sparkling national security threat.

Yo @durbin.senate.gov, no one is picking up your Senate phone and you don’t even have a voicemail. Vote no on cloture and the spending bill or I will do whatever it takes to make sure the next Senator from Illinois has basic constituent services set up during business hours.

Supreme Court rules 6-3 that Teslas are priced to move with $0 down and no payments for 48 months

Congrats to Justin Fields. The Bears are set to host the Jets in 2026...

Be there, please

Federal legislators ask the New York bar to conduct oversight of the United States Department of Justice.

Last night I stood up for those who need Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. Democrats will never abandon the fight to make sure every American has a safe, healthy, and financially secure life. #ISaidWhatISaid

Sound up for the tiniest snores.

This is Watson and Kiko. Kiko has one less leg due to cancer, but Watson just so happens to have enough hugs to make up for it. 14/10 for both (IG: watki)

Starmer to Zelenskyy: You are very very welcome here in Downing Street. As you heard from the cheers outside, you have full backing across the United Kingdom.

Ike asking Churchill why he doesn’t wear a suit before not suggesting that they cower to a maniac.

In this instance, standing up against and defying the United States of America is the morally, geopolitically, and strategically right decision.

Con law prof here. Worked up a decision tree for any government officials struggling with deep questions about obedience to court orders. Hope it helps

I met Lord Bigot

Three things worth knowing about the current fiscal debate: 1. When they're talking about savings, the numbers are usually billions (though sometimes millions). 2. When they're talking about tax cuts, the numbers are usually trillions. 3. A trillion is a thousand times larger than a billion.

Gang, if judges going off on topics not technically related to the matter at hand from the bench is judicial misconduct, I've got bad news for everyone.

Every liberal "paper of record": maybe the fascists have a point Eater: Know your rights

when the crowd cheers for the Nazi salute, what you have is a crowd full of Nazis

I feel so sick. Enough with the lies, enough with the games. They know exactly what they're doing. This is a neo-Nazi movement. Proudly so. The only reason they've kept it coded up until now was to take advantage of those who didn't want to believe it. No more looking away. Face up to what it is.
