It's amazing how easy Claude makes it to build you own mini design tools! Here i've been playing around with some loading animations.

I hope Figma draw brings some creativity back into product design. We’ve been prioritizing consistency over craft for far too long.

PSA: Don't put double diamonds in your portfolio any more.

I love @framer.com but one downside to having all these really nice templates is that so many designers use them now for their portfolio, so when reviewing applicants, it's much harder to tell on first glance are they any good, or did they just pick a nice template.

Sometimes truncation creates surprising results! 😮

Figma is really gearing up for an IPO with these launches! #config25

Life improved immensely once I learned to stop telling Cursor "it still doesn't work" and instead tell it to pause, don't write any code, investigate the issue properly, come up with 3-5 theories for what's going wrong, and validate theories with logs. I also give it web + docs access, if relevant.

this is fine 🔥

Working purely from home can be lonely sometimes, but being able to work from anywhere also has it's advantages too.

Anyone using the newer Macbook Airs for design? I have the 14" Macbook Pro and that's great, especially for travel, but when working remotely I use this setup, and 14" is a bit small so I'm considering getting a 15" but not sure how it performs. (I think it's the same spec as the Macbook Air 13")

I'm finding portfolios less useful these days because of design systems and portfolio templates. Found myself lately just asking people to throw a bunch of screens into a Figma file and sharing that. I'm finding it far more useful to evaluate skill and craft.

How long until the ShadCN aesthetic becomes boring?

What are some good examples of products that allow you to train an AI on your own data? Exactly.ai is one for illustration, and I'm looking for some other best-in-class examples for reference.

Coming soon to an Unhinged near you: Demo Mode! For when you want to show off the great app you're using, but not the fact that you cried about a pigeon last Thursday. #BuildInPublic

This is very interesting, taking the metaphor of Photoshop and applying it to text Wonderful experiment!

Did the Daylight tablet actually ship? I haven't heard anything about it after the initial hype.

I'll be speaking at the Berlin Product Designers meetup next week about my hobby of urban visualization & planning. productdesigners.berlin

Anyone have a good guide to how to setup basic design tokens in Tailwind for colours and fonts? I'm a bit late to the party.
