We lost Chris Cornell 8 years ago. Casual fans may be unaware he was main songwriter for bands he fronted. Riffs, chords, harmony & melody, all his ideas. This was apparent if you attended his solo shows. I took these vids at The Fitzgerald in Minnesota 14yrs ago. One of the all-time greatest.

Metallica playing Virginia Tech's unofficial theme song last night, Enter Sandman. This is from outside the stadium. VT Seismological Observatory’s helicorder registered an earth quake during this. Why hasn't Metallica ever been invited to play the Super Bowl?? That is a crime against humanity.

In last 24 hours, I... - Attended Method Man concert in Duluth - Caught a 3am G1 aurora substorm & meteor shower in Superior National Forest - Had a stare down w a wolf 🐺 on MN Hwy 1 (I won, btw) - Drove straight back to metro for last student 🎸recital b4 summer. Yea, it's called fun. I am tired.

Last min decision to spend the night in Duluth for the Method Man & Redman concert. Got upgraded to the hotel baller condo with a lake view. That was cool. The aurora MIGHT be cookin' up something & it's Eta Aquarids meteor shower... crystal clear sky, 60°F 😎 That's a good Saturday.

Walking out door when got notification that school district is canceling after-school activities. My studio follows those cancelations, so that means I have afternoon/evening off. I can't remember the last time that happened outside of winter months but I'll take it. Glad I wasn't on 494 already.

Biggest coronal hole observed by NASA SDO is now facing earth ☀️➡️🌎 sending the good stuff our way in ~72hrs (Not dangerous or alarming, btw) It means we might see aurora on Tuesday Aurora in 3 pics below were all produced by coronal hole that was not as big as this one 👀 We now pray for clear sky
