Nancy Faust will return to White Sox games with her organ for six home games on select Sundays. "I never expected a resurgence like this. It's very heartwarming to know that I'm remembered." 📝 @chicagorumormill.bsky.social

Gage Jump has been part of a strong start for the Lansing Lugnuts and was named the latest Midwest League Pitcher of the Week www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/sports...

😳

Wausau had a Midwest League affiliate back then.

I believe I speak for everyone who was there when I say a great time was had by all. ⚾

One group is about to own 43 minor league teams...

The largest paying crowd in the history of Wrigley Field was the day Jackie Robinson made his debut. Wrigley is the only park left Jackie played a game in. Mike Ryoko was a kid at that ballpark that day and he wrote about it. Take a minute and read this today. press.uchicago.edu/Misc/Chicago...

The Dodgers got their name over a century ago because fans had to dodge trolleys to get to the ballpark. Today their name takes on new meaning as they dodge appropriate acknowledgement of Jackie's legacy and, frankly, their social responsibility in that regard, too.

The Lansing Lugnuts open their home schedule Tuesday. Here's a look at some of top players who have played for the Lugnuts since they have joined a player development relationship with the MLB's Athletics. www.lansingstatejournal.com/story/sports...

Happy big contract day to the Blue Jays' Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who batted .316 with 7 HR & 45 RBI in 71 games with the 2017 Lansing Lugnuts before being promoted mid-season. He and Bo Bichette were fun to watch together in the Midwest League that year. Here's one of my photos of Vlad back then.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Toronto Blue Jays agreed to a $500 million, 14-year contract that starts in 2026, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press, a deal that removes what would have been the biggest star from next offseason's free-agent market.

The White Sox are off the market. Thoughts and prayers to anyone who loves the club.

Happy MiLB Opening Day! I'm wearing a Lansing Lugnuts cap today. What team's logo is on your lid? 🧢 #baseball ⚾

Thank you to @alltimebrewers.bsky.social for this Billy Martin card and to @ngtcollectibles.bsky.social for his Sunday cards giveaway thread! Bird is the word.

A Cubs win to kick off my birthday? Sounds good to me! #BaseballAfterMidnight

I really thought the Brewers were going to rally and beat the Yankees there in the 9th. #OpeningDay

Ten years ago, Tyler O'Neill was playing for the Clinton LumberKings in the Midwest League. Now he annually gives us must-watch Opening Day at-bats in the major leagues.

Breaking News: George Foreman, the heavyweight boxing champion who parlayed his fame into a multimillion-dollar grill business, died at 76.

On 3/12, I will point out that Sammy Sosa has the most career homers at Chicago ballparks, with 312 (regular season only). 293 at Wrigley Field 11 at Old Comiskey Park* 8 at New Comiskey Park/Rate Field* *area code 312

New MAGA hat dropped today

Matt Walbeck managed the West Michigan Whitecaps for three seasons (2004-06), winning Midwest League championships in the first and third years.
