One of the funniest jokes in TV history big RIP

It's Christmas 1998, and you're deep into CRPGs and AD&D. You pop in the first of Baldur's Gate's five discs and are greeted by an epic autorun that'll whisk you to Forgotten Realms like you've never seen them before. That was my Xmas 1998 with my first Win 95 PC. I was so excited to play it. 💜

The Martian revolution is amazing. It was the perfect escape from our current reality. I binged the first episodes is a weekend and was crushed when I had to wait a week for more goodness.

i want a black comedy spinoff where Dedra Meero is freed from prison and immediately hailed as a hero of the Republic because her charging documents accuse her of everything Lonni ever did

motherfucker i will take every vaccine i can get if you dipshits open smallpox or polio up again I'll get it that. i love getting rabies shots. gimme all of it.

I say without any irony or sarcasm: yes, thank you, we want parliamentary sabotage. Again, I'm 100% serious. It's one of the few things a minority party can do, and which Republicans themselves did. It's essential.

Laughing imagining what would happen if they gave @iwriteok.bsky.social and @whysophiewhy.bsky.social a $30m budget. The crazy idea of "people who care/know a lot about the things they make given time to build an audience" is profitable but doesn't sell well to a donor class that wants to be burped

don't listen to Alexander, DNC affiliated plutocrats. for just $100 million i will be your liberal Joe Rogan and give listeners advice on setting up squat routines while questioning the moon landing

Incredible chart work. 🙏🏼 #90dealsIn90days

This is fantastic, I was just discussing this very thing with my better half and this is article nails the crux of the issue.

If you like Andor consider: It Could Happen Here Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

The follow-up is, somehow, even worse, and reminds me of other moments of the worse US persecution of immigrants (like the American Plan) Echoing many others: Abolish ICE has to be the moderate position at this point, with the maximal position being to prosecute each & every person involved in this

Rich people are *easier* to bribe, because they are accustomed to avoiding consequences for their actions Poor people are more difficult to bribe because they know if they're caught there will be zero mercy shown by the Government in its prosecution of them

it was not right that Hasan was stopped however his encounter seems to have ended when he asked if he was being detained. if this happens to you the script is simple am I being detained? If no: may I go If yes: invoke the 5th

The quntisenial bluesky post.

Hello friends! Local bookstore is raising money for their Books To Prisoners program, an incredibly worthy cause. They have a fund matching grant that runs through midnight tonight so every dollar raised is doubled. Chip in if you're willing and able! roomofonesown.com/donation

We can flip some if we run candidates who follow the tried-and-true strategy of "attack, attack, attack" instead of the proven-loser of "emphasize your common ground with Republicans."

the thing about Fetterman is that it doesn’t really matter how much of this is the effect of the stroke and how much is just who he always was either way he is unfit for office and needs to be primaried and replaced

I know, norms and all that, but the default Dem position should be: We think this is illegal but if the courts say you can do this then we are going to rip the guts out of the entire conservative movement. No more Heritage, FedSoc, etc. All of them lose their tax exempt status.

@markpocan.bsky.social when should we expect an impeachment motion for Rubio to hit the house floor?

These guys are going to force us to hang them.

So far, Nate Silver and Matt Yglesias have come out against this piece which means you know with 100% certainty that Ed is correct and you should listen to what he’s saying

2012 was great (and early). But since then: 2014: sucked, and people weren't paying attention 2016: literally one of the worst nights of my life 2018: started bad, ended fine 2020: started bad, ended fine a few days later 2022: pretty good 2024: another of the worst nights of my life

There are a number of reasons Dems shouldn't shy away from impeachment, including simply the principle of the matter, but even on political calculus "he's completely lawless and we're in a constitutional crisis and also he should stay in office for the next four years" is not a message that works.

Total bullsh*t that getting in better shape results in having to increase workout time/intensity for the same output 😩 Daily 30 minutes of cardio was enough to close my exercise ring a year ago. Now it barely gets me halfway 😔

so, arresting judges should be more than enough reason for complete obstruction at in the house and senate. complete obstruction. anything you can do. interrupt proceedings, deny consent, holds on nominations. everything.

Why, no, you shouldn't have to have your 'papers' on yourself at all times or face extraordinary rendition to a foreign country, actually

With Andor Season 2 premiering on Tuesday, I'm going to make a bold prediction that before its four-week run is finished, someone in the Trump administration tries to have Disney shut it down, in what will the holleringest hit dog of all time.

[to the tune of "No Sleep Till Brooklyn"] four sleeps till Andor four sleeps till Andor

there’s a taboo against criticizing victims, but to hell with it. It is awful what happened to her daughter *and the perpetrator was justly punished in an American court.* to demand retribution against unrelated El Salvadorans is disgusting

If anybody knows the lawyer that wrote Baldur's Gate 3's end user license agreement can you let them know how desperately I want to hear what that process was like

Andor season one didn’t have to go so hard as a dense, methodical political drama laying out the ways fascism creeps and authoritarianism takes hold, but it did. If you understandably dismissed it as just another Disney+ Star Wars show, it very much is not, and it will hit extra hard right now.

With these posts, they’ve made it essentially inarguable that they’re deliberately defying the Supreme Court.

no outcome can be considered a victory if these people are not punished

you know what would drop the number of assaults of ICE agents to zero? abolishing ICE.
