Our latest article is about our exhibition in Naples Take a look at the link to read about how it went and what we got up to! We’ll be heading over to Warsaw for our next exhibition. #CentralaSpace #IClaimEU #Naples centrala-space.org.uk/2025/05/27/c...

Every moment of this horror is beyond comprehension

Which universities in US may be more affected by Trump's attack on #internationalstudents (BTW another massive blow to US soft power) www.nytimes.com/2025/05/23/u...

A record number of Americans applied for British citizenship in the first three months of this year, and for the right to live and work in Britain indefinitely, according to official data.

@nandosigona.bsky.social and I have come off our podcast hiatus to talk about the new immigration white paper and the Brexit-sized elephant in the room (as well as the dogwhistle politics) Listen wherever you get your podcasts or visit our website: whodowethinkweare.org/podcasts/who...

🚨This is a HUGE escalation and a deliberate effort to use the government against Trump's enemies. Weaponizing the Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification against Harvard to punish them for pushing back is a new low — and needlessly punishes thousands of innocent students.

Am I missing something here? Why has BBC chosen to illustrate a story about corruption with an image of the person accused wearing a Palestinian scarf? From what I read, the story has nothing to do with Palestine. It feels like yet another attempt to deflect attention from the genocide in Gaza.

What better way to spend your lunch hour in Birmingham than listening to some of the UK’s leading experts talk about their contributions to the book “States of Ignorance: Governing Irregular Migrants in Western Europe”? @nandosigona.bsky.social @christinaboswell.bsky.social @mcslaven.bsky.social

Starmer's immigration white paper is full of coded racism. It’s a cheap attempt to distract from the real failing: Brexit ✍️ @nandosigona.bsky.social bit.ly/3H5BThA

Breaking: EU will conduct a review of human rights clause of the EU-Israel Agreement in light of developments in #Gaza after pressure from EU ministers, @kajakallas.bsky.social confirms. "In the meantime, it is up to Israel to unblock the humanitarian aid", EU foreign affairs chief says

If you have access to it, I can't recommend this more, especially in the general climate of censorship in mainstream media www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m... Louis Theroux "The Settlers"

#RegnoUnito. #KeirStarmer e la crociata contro l’immigrazione - mio commento sulla 'nuova' strategia sull'immigrazione del governo britannico www.meltingpot.org/2025/05/regn...

This is Labour's core problem here. The right will never allow Starmer a win on immigration because the issue is central to their appeal and therey' daren't lose it. So whatever he does will never be enough.

Calling honest individuals—recruited & sponsored by British employers—who have applied and paid significant visa fees to work here, “squalid”? That is truly squalid. www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...

The claim by Yvette Cooper that there is a link between immigration and higher levels of inactivity (related to sickness and disability) has absolutely no basis in evidence or data. Just retrofitting the evidence to the policy...

Domani sera (9 maggio) alla galleria Puntozero (p.zza De Nicola 46) alle 19 apertura mostra di Chris Costa "nostalgia'n'exploitation".

All I wish from this #conclave is a #pope who continues to champion the right of Palestinians to exist and speaks out against the #genocide in Gaza in the face of the obscene & shameful silence of Western leaders on.ft.com/3Z2yQge

This is fantastic work by @milesklee.bsky.social documenting the way ChatGPT can cause users’ mental health to deteriorate quickly into catastrophic delusions. This technology never should have been released to the public and that was obvious from day 1 www.rollingstone.com/culture/cult...

What Is to Be Done? / Che fare? / Что делать? On Saturday 10th May at 6PM, Centrala will be holding a talk in Puntozero Valeria Apicella gallery with artist Chris Costa.

Baroness Cavendish of Little Venice is a conservative politician and policy adviser of David Cameron, why can anyone take seriously her advice on #migration to Labour? Being racist and anti-immigration is not really helping the Tories, isn't it?

“Illegal immigration, in particular, is poisoning our politics and trust in institutions.” Dangerous and reckless language in a deeply nativist @financialtimes.com column today. The normalization of far-right ideas in the name of fighting far-right actors is morally and strategically wrong!

Can't wait to take this great collaborative book back on the road again!

Something for the diary: IRIS talk with @christinaboswell.bsky.social @emile-chabal.bsky.social Mike Slaven - editors/authors of States of Ignorance: Governing #irregularmigrants in Western Europe 22 May, 1-2.30pm. Room 715, Muirhead Tower & online Register: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/states-of-...

#EU Court of Justice rejects Malta’s investor citizenship scheme 🤔 But if citizenship-by-investment is contrary to EU law because it does "not establish a bond of solidarity", why not ban EU states from charging foreigners when they apply for #citizenship?💰🇪🇺 www.eunews.it/en/2025/04/2...

Frankly (and unfortunately) it'd have been quite out of character for Jeff Bezos to do it, but really hope someone with a similar platform can make visible for every Americans the impact of Trump's tariffs www.nytimes.com/2025/04/29/u...

Even *on its own terms*, the logic here is just baffling. Sure, stopping those on Graduate Visas switching to care worker visas will reduce net migration *in one category*. But if care workers can still get visas - and there are still big shortages - why would it reduce net migration overall?
