TX Sierra Club: SB 2994 by Sen. Johnson would have raised the demand and savings goals each year by 2.5 percent over the next five years. SB 2994 also raised the budget for programs designed to help low-income Texans and allows utilities to do more direct outreach to low-income Texans. Read more:

More housing for Texans is on the way. Working together with Rep. @jamestalarico.bsky.social, we passed my SB 2835, clearing away old codes and outdated modes. These buildings make better use of available land and interior space, and are safer than traditional mega-complex multi-family housing.

‪D Magazine: SB 960 by Sen. Johnson would establish a workforce housing program. It would provide incentives to developers to build more workforce housing—which impacts households who earn too much for subsidies but cannot afford the market rental rate. Read the full article: bit.ly/4mz0ETN
