Any approach to a political issue that prioritizes electoralism over moral clarity is proof of incurable ethical rot.

A full season of speculation about what kind of fun, unique Premier League teams might make the Champions League and after all that the biggest ‘underdog’ to make it is owned by Saudi Arabia

Tottenham won a goddamn trophy and it's just lovely and funny and funny and lovely, mostly because the best Hotspur, Son Heung-Min got to raise a trophy.

this is a letter to the editor from a high school track runner who came in second to a trans girl in a race. her state house rep in maine started talking about it. so she wrote this: www.pressherald.com/2025/05/14/r...

I wrote an article a week ago about how Cal desperately needed to add depth at offensive skill positions, and, well . . .

I will keep this in mind the next time I fill out my mandatory monthly gift attestation as a public employee, which reminds me that I cannot accept more than a $10 gift from a lobbyist.

Congrats to Layshia!

Looking forward to the Marcus Thompson II article about how a speech from Steph inspired Buddy Hield to make 9 threes

I appreciate that Stanford is going through an existential athletics crisis at the same time as Cal, misery truly loves company

Every day I'm reminded that California will never get a better governor than Jerry Brown. Showed up for work every day, didn't say outlandish malarkey, made sensible decisions, and went off into anonymous retirement on his mountain ranch to look at cool plants. A hero to one and all.

When I was a kid we’d go to the library to get the newspaper and read the weekly local police blotter to see which houses had their mailboxes knocked over by bored classmates. The paper called them “mailbox malfeasants.”

Still mad at Fernando for leaving but I get the logic of “I’m going to find a team that can mask my one major weakness by actually pass blocking for me”

Was curious and glanced at Cal’s NFL draft history under Wilcox and it’s truly remarkable. 14 players drafted, ALL of them on defense, 9 of them DBs.

Go Bears

Cal going 6-6 with 5 losses by 8 points or less with probably the best roster since the Tedford era is such a massive failure of game management

Hey, Nohl Williams on the Chiefs means that I have a reason to be happy during future inevitable Chief super bowl wins, nice!

My latest article after the worst week for Cal sports since the collapse of the Pac-12, in which a Bastille song channels my belief that Cal sports will probably never succeed, but I’m gonna root for them anyway:

No kings in Sebastopol

I'm a little late and the Charity Bowl is already past a million dollars, but just like Cal WBB against Stanford, I'M HERE TO RUN UP THE SCORE @hollyanderson.bsky.social @edsbs.bsky.social

Chris Van Hollen flying down to El Salvador and refusing to leave until he got in a room with Kilmar Abrego Garcia blows up every other “well what do you expect them to do?” defense for elected Democrats

Reposting my thoughts from December for no reason whatsoever

Go Bears

If I was confident that Cal would intelligently reallocate his NIL money, I'd make an argument that Jaydn Ott electing to transfer would actually be a good thing for Cal FB. I don't particularly have faith, based on the last few years, that Justin Wilcox will successfully reallocate that NIL $
