Pretty frustrating to say the least. Through this program, we've built a world-leading pathogen monitoring system in San Diego. Now, we'll be far less prepared to track outbreaks quickly & at scale. A major problem when measles, avian influenza, Hep A, and other pathogens are knocking at our door.

Shame on @sandiegouniontribune.com for describing the #HandsOff March on Saturday as involving "more than 1000" people. The actual estimate is between 16,000 and 20,000. Yes 16,000-20,000 is technically more than 1,000 but this is misleading & bad reporting. Maybe provide full story coverage?
