When she was an infant, at her baby naming, we passed her around the room to be held by family and friends. She looked around the room at her bat mitzvah and saw many of the same people and new faces smiling at her. The past three days of laughter and love, her strong voice, has filled our hearts.

A few weeks ago, our daughter marched in Poland from Auschwitz to Birkenau to bear witness to the Holocaust. Tomorrow she’ll read from the Torah, in Canada, for her bat mitzvah. She knows how fragile safety is. She’s inherited the strength and resilience of her great grandparents. Shabbat shalom.

My final patient today was a 4y old getting her routine vaccines (MMR-V and DTaP-Polio boosters). The relief for her parents that she’s better protected from #measles and her sweetness, sitting on her mum’s lap, warm my heart. Have a peaceful, healthy weekend, friends & colleagues. Shabbat Shalom
