We’re still not shopping at Target.

The boycott continues. #BoycottTarget

It should cost less to start/have a family, giving birth should not come with debt. Think about it, working class Americans are hit with a huge bill when they have kids. Other countries don’t allow this to happen to their people.

“Workers don’t like days off” is an interesting stance.

I had the opportunity to talk about the history of Juneteenth today at the South Euclid-Lydhurst Public Library in South Euclid. It’s on us to carry forward the baton we were passed.

Juneteenth is recognized as a national holiday today because of the relentless work of this woman: Mother Opal Lee. We must honor her today and uplift her legacy moving forward.

No matter what happens, hopefully Americans are taking note that when we say “we don’t want war,” the majority of our elected officials responded by saying “too bad, we do.”

Senator Lindsay Graham says to not look at polls showing that Americans don’t want war with Iran, that we’re not the ones going. Well Senator, you’re not going, either. Believe it or not, we don’t want troops to die because you want a war.

Healthcare, not bombs. Childcare, not bombs. Housing, not bombs. College, not bombs. Reparations, not bombs. We can have better. We need better.

What stock trades did members of Congress make right before Israel struck Iran? The American people deserve to know. Currently, members of Congress are allowed to trade stocks. In times of war, weapons stocks rise. Are our officials profiting off of this escalation?

Those cheering for war aren’t the ones who will be sent to fight in it. Remember that.

Line in the sand time for Congress: are you willing to send working class Americans to die in a foreign war in the Middle East? If you do so, it will be a blemish on your record 100 times worse than the Iraq War. Protect our troops. Support our troops. Do not send them to war.

I agree with @ninaturner.bsky.social - the time is now. When people wonder how the current administration and right has attracted so many Americans who are suffering… it’s because they are AND they believe(d) MAGA was going to uplift them. (And they bought into the fear/tropes) /1

REMINDER: The President MUST go through Congress before sending American troops to war.

Fathers deserve to work fewer hours, make more money, and spend more time with their families. Every working class person deserves this.

As we approach the week leading up to Juneteenth, it’s important to recognize the flag and symbols around the day, as well as taking the opportunity to renew the call for lineage-based reparations for not only chattel slavery, but the harms inflicted upon Black Americans post-emancipation.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads, surrogate dads and every person who stands in the gap to fill that role, making it happen. A special shout out to my #1 fan, AKA Coach T. I love and appreciate you very much.

The best way for politicians to honor the troops is to not to send them off to war.

Our world needs more love, compassion, and humanity.

If you are attending a protest today, stay safe and know your rights ⬇️

Supporting the troops in practice looks like not sending them off to war and ensuring veterans are taken care of. Today’s parade is a waste of taxpayer money.

Marines detained a civilian, reportedly an Army veteran, in Los Angeles today. Extremely chilling sight. This is not ok. www.reuters.com/world/us/us-...

“America First” in practice *should* look like ensuring every American has healthcare, debt-free college, universal childcare, housing, and food. These types of things would make America great. Cutting Medicaid, SNAP, and pushing war do not make us great.

Reminder: Benjamin Netanyahu has an active international arrest warrant for war crimes and our weak, spineless elected officials keep sending him and Israel bombs. Arrest him and hold him accountable for his crimes and enforce an arms embargo.

Stop giving Israel bombs.

The best way to honor the troops would be to keep the U.S. out of wars, strengthening the VA, and ending homelessness, not a taxpayer-funded authoritarian-style parade through Washington D.C. It’s a waste of money, especially when Congress is cutting Medicaid and SNAP.

Corporations have bought our politicians, so these companies and their CEOs need to be speaking out about government overreach. Do not bend to bigotry and fascism. You run on OUR money. Don’t forget. Ask Target how it’s working out.

According to the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. Constitution is the law of the land. Everyone on U.S. soil is within the jurisdiction of the Constitution. constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay...

🇺🇸KNOW YOUR RIGHTS: The First Amendment of the United States Constitution, which applies to everyone on U.S. soil:

I am just as frustrated as you. I am not currently in elected office. My organization is currently organizing a broad coalition around the Freedom Budget for All Americans, which lays out a path for our collective liberation. We have to build.

People say things like this and I’m unsure why. Here is an excerpt from an op-ed I wrote in October 2024:

No war with Iran. No war period.

If you work full time, you should be able to live on your paycheck, alone. That’s common sense.

The President of the United States this week has: - Restored the name of Robert E. Lee to a U.S. military base (Lee fought against the U.S. military) -Deployed Marines to an American city. - Shipped military equipment to Washington D.C. for a military “parade.”

Black Americans are not next, we were first. I wrote about the political dynamics of the United States and how they are playing out in this current moment. Read more: open.substack.com/pub/ninaturn...

In America, the path to collective liberation is Black liberation.

I’m still willing to stand up, speak out, and fight for someone I don’t know.

They fight against reparations for Black Americans but they have $135 million to spend on a whim to deploy military members to a U.S. city.

The U.S. government is spending $134 million dollars to deploy troops in America while veterans sleep on the streets.
