This Saturday, Those Were the Days invites you to swing back to the 1930s for an afternoon of broadcasts featuring Artie Shaw, Duke Ellington (at the Cotton Club!), Bob Crosby, Hal Kemp and others. Join us from 1-5 pm CST on wdcb.org and get ready to dance!

This photo is one of many, many things Ginger Rogers did without Fred Astaire. You can read about the others in the Spring issue of Nostalgia Digest, available at nostalgiadigest.com

Sorry to hear about the passing of George Wendt. Seeing George on stage at Second City (playing the Pope, no less) with Mary Gross and the super-fun Tim Kazurinsky was a most wonderful way to spend an evening. He'll be missed.

Did you miss Those Were the Days' salute to Ginger Rogers?! Don't gnash your teeth and wail in despair—listen to the archived version any time this week (or next) at www.nostalgiadigest.com/those%20were...

Tonight on Radio's Golden Age: We celebrate the "man of a thousand voice," the great William Conrad—plus, hear a pre-Honeymooners Art Carney and Marie Wilson as "My Friend Irma"! It's all happening tonight from 6-9 pm CST on kxel.com

What's your dancing style?

Today's the day! Join us from 1-5 pm CST on wdcb.org for an afternoon of radio starring the legendary Ginger Rogers (and maybe a little Fred—or two...)

Just a reminder: @wdcb909.bsky.social deserves your money a lot more than this schmuck—and I think they yield a better return as well.

I don’t know who to thank for this, but the MOVIES! tv channel is showing Mildred Pierce on Mother's Day and that’s brilliant.

Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce! Phil Harris and Alice Faye! Edward Everett Horton and... Al Jolson! You'll hear these folks and many more Saturday on Those Were the Days. Tune in from 1-5 pm CST on wdcb.org

The "solo career" of Ginger Rogers! The radio career of William "Cannon" Conrad! The man who was a Communist for the FBI! Cary Grant and The Awful Truth! You'll find these stories and more in the Spring issue of Nostalgia Digest. Get your copy today at www.nostalgiadigest.com/nostalgiadig...!

Back in 2018, we saw a post by Jill Sobule promoting her new album called "Nostalgia Kills." We puckishly wrote back to say "let's hope not," whereupon she very kindly sent us a copy. Jill was sweet and funny and a great songwriter and we're so sorry to hear of her death. RIP & thanks for everything
