This but also for voice actors!

Bryan Cranston deserves an Emmy just for the deranged way he yells "OHHHH NACHOOOOOOOS!" at the Vegas party in "The Studio." Love an artist who can spend years earning his spot on the mountaintop of serious dramatic actors and then gleefully obliterate it at every opportunity.

The thing about Southern California is, you can tell yourself "Hmmm, if traffic's bad it could take 90 mins. to get there," but if you can, you leave an hour earlier than even that because our freeways are always one fender-bender away from "Bad" becoming "Soul-Smothering Absurdist Nightmare."

I really love that "Rogue One"/"Andor" gifted us the revelation that if there's a light side and dark side to The Force, a galaxy with a protocol droid must also have a sarcastic a-hole droid. Balance in all things.

Have a temporary crown installed from the dentist, I should really only chew out of one side of my mouth for the next two weeks and I don't like how much of a problem this is to my brain. I've lost a temp crown before and WOW was that a painful few days but my brain is like IT'S UNEVEN NOOOOOOO.

An important message from @samwitwer.bsky.social, Pt 1. Be sure to register for the 5/13 strike update if you can and make your voices heard!

My short film "Pizza Time Pizza" has landed another film festival - this one the Snake Alley Fest in Iowa this July. They also took a short I act in, "A Field Guide to Sasquatch Structures (and other serious signs.)" I won't be able to attend but such a tribute to the teams on both those projects!

I love a day in the booth.

Great time for SoundCloud users to start laying fart sounds over some sick beatz.

Sure sure the world has a Pope, but our production of "Twelfth Night" has a FLIER! Your move, Christian God.

Discovered that not only does the Roku Channel have the original 1980's "Transformers" animated series but they retained the commercial break bumpers which were ESSENTIAL to the childhood viewing experience. www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-vt...

Actors are not asking for anything unreasonable with AI protections. We have protections in every other area. Employers for television, film, animation, & commercials agree actors deserve AI protections. The few companies we’re striking against are the only ones in the industry who don’t agree.

I swear as soon as I have the time and money for weird affectations I'm buying a vintage typewriter. Going to write a story on that thing, it will feel so satisfying. tap-tap-tap-ting!-ZIP!

Am I greedy for telling the universe I want to book both really awesome voice gigs I auditioned for yesterday? So be it. It's part of my own progress to remember it's okay to want things. Not demanding, threatening, or bargaining. Just saying with intent - I'd rock these roles and I want them.

Has Carmy from "The Bear" mastered not putting cilantro on things when asked because my experience in restaurants is that this is the most impossible request to make of a chef?

Thrilled to announce I'm now repped by Luanne Regis of RegalVO for voicework! Huge thanks to my friend Julie Johnston of icontactcoaching for connecting us. I can't wait to see what Luanne and I can do together when she puts her 30+ years in the voice world to work! www.linkedin.com/in/luanne-sa...

Had one of those auditions today where the odds of booking the role are 1,000-to-1, but just the fact that I'm auditioning for and being seen by a Casting Director at this level is a big sign of progress and a W worth taking. I'm new at this work tier now - next time I won't be. Play that long game.

I am so proud to be a member of @queervox.bsky.social & wow, it's an honor to sit at this table!
Pls join us at Q Con this Saturday 5/3 in West Hollywood to hear about the amazing things Queer Vox does, find some new comics to obsess over, & get something signed- it’s FREE to attend! qconprism.org

From the long-ago first headshot session I ever paid for - my friend Amanda Clifford shot me at the lakeshore in Chicago on a chilly NYE. This wasn't even posed, I put on my overcoat to warm up, she saw an unselfconscious moment and instinctively snapped. That's what cameras crave: unguarded essence

Showtime at the O.C. Theatre Guild Awards!

I'll be reciting a sonnet and performing a speech from "As You Like It." Join us! www.facebook.com/events/10481...

Today was the day, friends. TODAY WAS THE DAY. First draft at last. The work is far from done, but the story is on the page. 97 of them, in fact. Typing "FADE OUT." still feels so powerful after all these years.

The shagadelic villain's lair in 1969's "Latitude Zero" has STRONG Madonna Inn theme room potential. Yes, I too would like to plot evil from my futuristic control room for swinging sophisticated adults.

Aww, Dedra and Syril. Really rooting for these crazy kids to use the power of consensual roleplay to move their throbbing fascist kink into the bedroom, outgrow their trauma, and become freaky heroes. Bonus points if they chuck Syril's mother down a mile-deep shaft a la The Emperor. For therapy.

Had a good writing session - four pages on this screenplay. So many times I've heard non-writers opine that you only need one good idea to write a script and it's such a fallacy. A script is more than an idea, it's choices - thousands of choices hiding underneath every image and every line.

I am so close to a first draft on this ding-dang screenplay it's infuriating.

Hello. Supporting, respecting and believing (or at least tolerating) voice actors who say they are striking for contracts with enforceable AI protections is pretty cool and neat and hot.
