Apparently Marge didn’t read the bill before she voted for it.

This whole thread 👇

Devastated for my friends and colleagues in Poland, where once again the tack right to defeat the right strategy failed (as it reliably does) and has brought authoritarianism back when they fought so valiantly in 2022 to defeat it. 🧵

HAWLEY: Let's see the Trump chart. You don't think it's a little bit anomalous that Trump has so many more nationwide injunctions against him? KATE SHAW: A very plausible explanation you have to consider is that he's engaged in much more lawless activity than other presidents

I’m officially running to be the Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee. These are not normal times—and this cannot be a business-as-usual moment. Read my full letter to my colleagues here: crockett.house.gov/media/press-...

Vought gets a little salty after Dana Bash plays the clip of him saying that he wants federal bureaucrats to be "in trauma," telling her "you cherrypicked the quote" (she literally just played the clip)

Abolish ICE

🌮

If someone says one thing and does another, if they are hypocritical in their criticisms, if they answer a direct question with another question or something unrelated, or if they cant explain to you how their promise will work. They are liars, conmen, and likely Republicans

Apple/EU tariffs, attacks on Harvard…all purposeful mis-directs, that will not stand, from the following: —GOP tax bill is largest transfer of wealth from poor to rich in history. Democrats/media being played.

Can't help but feel we're living through an increasingly existential war between spectacle and substance with spectacle winning battle after battle after battle.

Millions of people believe that Fox is news and not a propaganda entertainment network. 22 Fox employees now work for the regime. We can’t seem to get that toothpaste back in the tube.

Because free speech.

But racism was so long ago. SMFH

This has always been the GOP's strategy: 1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves. 2) Explode the deficit. 3) Demand cuts to vital programs that help millions. 4) Repeat. They're trying to get away with it again.

Same speech, two headlines. Which one tells you more about the president?

Our task: To stop Trump from making the United States of America his ultimate bankruptcy, his ultimate failure.

Republicans are upset that we're exposing what's in their budget. 😢

Are we great yet?

Column: This week, the bond market sent a gentle warning that the path of the national debt is a problem. But Congress is not known for heeding gentle warnings, writes our economics correspondent Victoria Guida.

Who’s going to tell him what Elon really did with DODGE? It certainly wasn’t about getting rid of waste fraud and abuse

Here's a picture that a @kuow.org photographer took in Seattle yesterday, showing the ICE officers masked up in the hallways as they waited to arrest people coming out of their hearings.

Some folks just thought it was trite when people warned if they come for the most marginalized, sooner or later they are coming for you.

Work requirements for Medicaid recipients is code for Kicking ppl off of Medicaid. Ask the 18,000 ppl who lost their healthcare in Arkansas So much so that a judge ended work requirements altogether. All this suffering to satisfy insatiable GREED

In what world is potentially adding $20 trillion to the debt fiscally responsible? Time to vote out these lying clowns

The GOPs big ugly bill should be the last nail in the coffin to Reganomics having any credibility as a serious economic ideology

Let’s not forget today the GOP tax bill changed the threshold for the estate tax to 0 tax under $30million in inheritance. $124 trillion going to be inherited between now and 2048. US debt is $36 trillion and climbing. Seems like there’s a pretty simple answer here. Tax the rich.

Just fyi… when the Democrats passed their healthcare bill in the middle of the night it sparked the tea party. GOP is toast for this… IF the Dems can get their crap together

I’d like those thinking like this to consider the WP analysis that 60% of all book ban requests came from just 11 people. Those people don’t give up or listen to odds. Unfortunately they have created a national topic & made progress with their cause. So learn from them and don’t discredit your voice

House Republicans just passed Trump’s Tax Scam (the GOP’s Medicaid-slashing, billionaire-enriching megabill) in a 215-214 vote. The bill got even worse overnight, but the most important thing to know right now is this: This fight isn’t over, and this bill can still be stopped. 🧵

If something is beautiful you don’t do it after midnight

Fox and the GOP brainwashed America.

Republicans are about to strip 13.7 million Americans of healthcare so does anyone know where I can find some nonstop coverage about the previous president being old??

They're arresting Members of Congress. Perhaps a sternly-worded letter is in order. Or, perhaps, it's time to play some damn hardball with the DOJ.
