Re: #JobCorps I've been following the case via PACER. A document filed this week is a May 28 letter from Collins to DoL requesting information. Whether or not it's been provided I do not know. #MEpolitics

The effect on the local economy will be profound. The Center (again, 1 of 5 in #Maine) bought 4-5 trucks' worth of oil weekly in the winter. Loads of groceries, office supplies, water, propane, you-name-it, it came. Kids shopped in local stores/went to local restaurants. All gone. #MEpolitics 2/2

Just FYI: there are 130 staff at Loring #JobCorps (1 of 5 centers in the state), most of whom will be laid off in the next week or so. The kids will be gone (many to unstable living situations) by Thursday without having been able to finish the training they were getting there. #MEpolitics 1/2
