THE PENTAGON BUDGET JUST HIT A TRILLION DOLLARS. Not a single pundit from either political party said “how are we going to pay for it?!” Don’t dare tell us we cannot ALL have healthcare, housing, and education.

The NEA grants being cut was inevitable. Anyone with eyes could have seen it coming. It doesn't make it any less brutal or hard or upsetting. We're living in a razor blade tornado of bad governance right now. Every cut hurts. And the bleeding is real. Of course, we react, but we must also respond.

Plenty of politicians on both sides of the aisle feel threatened by rising class consciousness.

I can't wait for all these people to go to prison for insider trading and stock manipulation.

Prediction: Today (4/9/25) registered the greatest ill gotten gains from insider trading in history.

I still can’t figure out when “we can deport you” turned into “we can put you in a hell hole prison in a third country, indefinitely, with no legal recourse.”

The question right now is , "How long will the American people allow this to continue?"

Right now is the moment that both parties should unite in Congress and put an end to this madness. With courage, conscience, and conviction, this could literally all be over by the end of day tomorrow.

If we abandon due process, we abandon our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Simple as that. If the state can just round people up, kidnap them, and ship them off with no charges, no trial, no...DUE PROCESS....then we are absolutely cooked.

I think people should start to alter their frame about what's happening in the country. If economic collapse, desperation, and societal chaos are the actual executive objectives, then the administration is 100% successful. And, personally, I think those ARE the objectives.

Teen Warned Not To Accept Group Chat Invites From National Security Advisors She Doesn’t Know

One thing that can get lost in all this is that Jeff Goldberg knows much, much more about national security than the principals who were on that text chain.

In any normal country, everyone on that Signal group chat would have resigned by the end of the day or faced bipartisan impeachment proceeding immediately. Our national security is not, and has not been, secure.

In case you’ve forgotten how we used to treat this sort of thing… There would be bipartisan calls for investigations Impeachment would be a foregone conclusion Several people would’ve resigned or been fired by end of day Back when responsible adults were in charge, not this insane clown posse

IDEA: A nonpartisan independent auditor of federal crimes within government. Congress retains the power of impeachment, but not the power to ignore criminal activity and corruption. Example: Clarence Thomas is credibly guilty of corruption and taking bribes. Auditor has power to demand Congress act.

I watched the Yacht Rock documentary and I have been listening to Steely Dan nonstop since. I'm in a soft-rock haze. I'm sitting in a sunken conversation pit with a color organ on the wall in my mind. "Call me Deacon Blues".

Sending people unconvicted of any crime to gulags in foreign countries is very "We are the baddies here."

The people Attorney General Bondi is calling “terrorists” have had no trial and no chance to defend themselves. We do not know who they are. Ignoring the Constitution does not make us safe. It puts us all in peril.

We have each other. We are the Resistance now. All of us.

It's pretty amazing that Senate Democrats have decided that the only people who will be pissed if they cave to the Republicans are THE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY VOTE FOR THEM... and *because* we actually vote for them, we're the people who should be ignored.
