Older than before, trying to get wiser but failing to make meaningful progress & still not as energetic as I should be. Enjoying the moments, places & people around me; not to be taken seriously.

Please take a look at this petition & share it with your friends locally. The land is owned by the Guides & Scouts of Old Basing; it is an outdoor space to inspire our young people in the art of their possibilities. The new building we aim to build will support many generations. chng.it/NtDhZ9mnLD

Here’s an idea. Community infrastructure for young people. Investing in the talent’s & resilience of future generations while also helping them to engage with the great outdoors. Please read this petition & celebrate Scouts & Girlguides find their space. chng.it/Xpc2LDHGfy

This is the best news that I have heard for a while (on the topic of Ukraine’s self defence). It is true that we (most NATO nations) rely too heavily on the USA. It is time that we started to work harder for mutually reasonable solutions that are resourced from within the European nations.

I found this to be a compelling read. Perhaps my frustration with the main stream media has done me a disservice; I was not previously aware of this election! Perhaps my head in the sand habits (focusing on music) is just what I need. In reality, the elections in Germany are beyond my influence.

Weaponised incompetence from the previous HM Government is a brilliant & concise summary. We do need something different from UK Labour Party. When will we see the pragmatic problem solving that many of us expect from this Govt?

Nigel Farage continues to spout his boll**** unchallenged the UK must leave the ECHR If we want to avoid a dangerous chain of events which could one day see Britain joining Russia & Belarus as the only European countries outside the ECHR we need to constantly call him out youtu.be/iSTN-h8NoyY?...

Even a few years on this is worth reading. Why are those within the @BBCNewsnight or @BBCNews teams not clamouring to present some narrative to this problem. @carolecadwalla.bsky.social is not alone in her concern. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019...

I am SO looking forward to some time off at Christmas when I WILL read “How They Broke Britain”

Just absolutely brilliant. My license fee is worth paying for this alone but the BBC offers so much more. We are lucky to have such a brilliant national broadcaster that aimed to speak to the whole nation.

Stuart Maconie will be holding an Xmas quiz @ 1000 Trades where he will be asking questions based on the pop-up Stuart Maconie Museum we opened up on a phonebox in Bearwood! Get revising!

Imagine! Failing to keep up becomes less of a challenge with the passage of time.

@stevepeers.bsky.social Thank you for being the first to follow me. I am very new here & still finding my way.

Engineering is a thing that keeps me entertained. Those that went before us were doing complicated things that we barely notice today. The more things change the easier it is to see common themes & overlook common sense. The greatest of assets develop by investment in a sense of humour.

How does Bluesky work? Why do we need it (apart from the fact that life on X has become grim) or more specifically what purpose does it serve? Do we just start searching (again) for something we want to read? Why did it happen?

Novice on this platform. Not even sure how long it has existed. Is there anybody out there that knows me from the other place?
