implementing webcam stuff is fun bc it keeps throwing you weird formats for every webcam and backend. oh you want a normal RGB texture? shame, here's YUV2 and NV12 and NV21 and UYVY which are entirely different colour spaces. oh and while we're at it decompress these JPEG images in real time too

btw the fix for the microphone bug AND the hotkey bug was to simply... not use universal binaries... apparently microphone and keyboard access permissions break completely when the application is a universal binary, for whatever reason. this is why we split the mac version into two builds
