Drivers don’t like being shouted at do they? But shouting is a natural response when a person in control of a couple of tonnes of metal puts you in fear of your life. Can’t help with ID, sorry.

Very unsatisfactory article: apparently we don’t need to panic about sea level rise, UN Sec Generally and others are fear mongering about climate migration. Maybe true, but maps and figures are needed to support the argument. theconversation.com/what-danish-...

The world that gave us narcissistic, power crazed elderly Homo sapiens 🙄, also gave us this orchid I came across on my walk.

Scotland has rainforest too – and it needs protecting. To mark #Rainforestday, we’re shining a light on the temperate rainforest remnants we are lucky enough to have at Tayvallich estate. In this film Keir Smith, Director of Estate Operations, shares our plan to expand this rare habitat.

While the world teeters on the brink of something dangerous I recognise I have no control over events and will continue to appreciate the good things like volunteering at Wisley’s Hilltop. It’s going to be hot and there are more road closures so there might be few visitors. #SundayYellow 🌱

Apparently not a photo of Iran.

Every morning I wonder “has the world ended today?” before looking at the news. Today? Not quite, getting there. I am genuinely puzzled about how we got to this situation. Not by The Donald, he is what he is, but by the fact he hasn’t been reined in by the “establishment”.

We've launched a new page that outlines what we're trying to do with open working projects and importantly, *why* we're doing it. This isn't the internet we want and we're going to do everything to make sure we're making things better, not chasing profit over anything. piccalil.li/support-picc...

Trawling is currently prohibited within EU offshore wind farms. Result? They may become a refugium for marine life. A win-win.

Not been to Edinburgh’s Inch Park for years, and only in winter. Much wilder than I remember. And I discovered part of the route of the Braid burn!

Spent too long looking at the news. Remembered having a doze in this meadow of violets in Northumberland. A wonderfully unexpected on a very pleasant and peaceful walk. Thank you @nationaltrust.org.uk www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/north-...

The opportunities are very clear, the challenge is that so many individuals and organizations are unwilling to even consider the evidence.

Is there anyone on here working in the cobalt industry and/or cobalt supply chain issues? We are looking for experts in this area to feed into a short study. Any leads would be most welcome!

"There's a lot of evidence that shows that the stronger a community's social cohesion is, the better chances they have of resilience from climate hazards," said Rishi Sugla, a  climate resilience scientist at the University of Washington. www.npr.org/2025/06/10/n...

1st thought: “that’s brilliant”; 2nd thought: “with my privilege, UK middle class, I’m certainly not at the bottom”; 3rd thought: “but I’m not in the 1%, so I’m definitely in with the bottom 99%.” I’m up for “coming for those on top”.
