Must read from @michellegoldberg.bsky.social. The richest man in the world attacked the poorest children in the world. The casualities continue to mount. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

Dems need to start explicitly, publicly, loudly, repeatedly promising oversight, investigations, subpoenas, hearings, prosecutations, & jail time for those ransacking our country. I want specifics, timelines, inevitability. The new Dem House will get sworn in on 1/3/27. What happens on 1/4/27?

Thanks to the great people at @7StoriesPress for publishing my book in paperback, which releases on Tuesday. Learn to spot the tactics of disinformation, build skills to avoid being manipulated by them, and restore respect for the truth. You can order here. www.sevenstories.com/books/4763-a...

Republicans have prepared all kinds of talking points for officials to use when asked about the GOP’s brutal Medicaid cuts. I have a hunch “Well, we’re all going to die” — the line Iowa’s Joni Ernst used this morning — wasn’t on the list. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

Trump has helped convicts avoid more than a century of prison time through pardons and commutations. And that’s excluding Jan. 6 cases. Add them and the total is 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟕𝟎𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Gift link: wapo.st/3Hfd174

ICE kidnapped 55/60 construction workers in a massive raid today in Tallahassee, Florida. Naturally, one of their MAGA buddies think they didn't vote for this. They did.

Correct. I hope all journalists covering today’s rally ask what binding, enforceable document actually guarantees investment in PA mills and *jobs* (investment alone could mean robots) before reporting this is a “deal” for us. Also, who traded on this while it was not public?

Interesting piece on the Nazi junkie, strung out on a huge array of drugs seemingly at all times, who effectively destroyed huge sectors of the US government and caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people so far. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/u...

18 U.S. Code § 208 ... is the federal criminal conflict of interest law. It makes it a crime to participate in decisions in which you or close relations have a direct financial interest. Copious reporting indicates that Musk used the power of "DOGE" to assign numerous contracts to his companies.

I have questions about Musk’s departure from DOGE, and we don’t really have good answers. Sometimes, it’s important to just put down the markers. open.substack.com/pub/joycevan...

Good grief. I know these fake people aren't science AT ALL. Wouldn't trust it one inch.

Trump Administration Knew Vast Majority Of Venezuelans Sent To Salvadoran Prison Had Not Been Convicted Of US Crimes talkingpointsmemo.com/news/deporte...

Not sure it means much but as long as we're on the topic a lot of the top Nazis were actually hardcore druggies too.

"Brooke Nichols, an associate professor of global health at Boston University, has estimated that these cuts have already resulted in about 300,000 deaths, most of them of children, and will most likely lead to significantly more by the end of the year." www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

There are pretty strict laws for govt contractors and security clearance holders abt drug use. For some recreational drug use those laws are probably outdated. But there are pretty good reasons you wouldn't want a full on junkie in those kinds of positions.

Some reporter get a baggie of Ozempic, Ketamine and meth and hold it up in front of Elon at the presser and see what happens.

I met with providers in Snohomish County who provide hope & housing to their communities, helping to prevent homelessness and get people back on their feet. Trump's jeopardizing their work.   I'm going to fight with everything I have to rip up his budget & protect funding for housing.

Adding ❌👑 to your handle is a simple fun free little way to promote No Kings Day in the lead up to what is shaping up to be largest pro-democracy protest of the year (so far). I don't want to blow this out of proportion, but it might literally save our republic. nokings.org

In case this isn’t obvious: In a healthy political system, if officials released a hyped report on health policy, and the document relied on scientific sources that didn’t exist, those officials would be expected to resign — quickly. www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddo...

No words www.nytimes.com/2025/05/29/h...

For a while, we've been describing Trump as a bully - someone who acts tough but backs down when confronted. But maybe TACO is a more effective line of attack.

Agree — and the momentum is critical for challengers in the swing districts. Trust me they need your morale.

If we can afford to give another $664 billion in tax breaks to the top 1% and spend over $1 trillion on the Pentagon, we can afford health care for the working people of this country.

Leavitt is a traitor.

If they are actually going to enforce deportations in FL at job sites then the construction industry in FL will grind to a halt. Until they can replace those employees with US-born workers willing to work outside in the summer in 100 degree heat & humidity. Should be no problem.

Call To Action: National Protest to call for the removal of Donald Trump. Washington dc and every state capitol, city hall, and town hall. Organize yourselves, post your events below, stronger together. The country is in your hands. #3E #NoKings #RemoveTrump

This is a good way to make sure that none of these jobs get done right. Including the job of running the CFPB and keeping working people from getting cheated.

“Taking DNA from a 4-year old and adding it into CODIS flies in the face of any immigration purpose. That’s not immigration enforcement. That’s genetic surveillance.”

The typical compensation package for chief executives who run companies in the S&P 500 jumped nearly 10% in 2024 as the stock market enjoyed another banner year and corporate profits rose sharply.

A Boston federal judge said she'll issue a preliminary injunction blocking the Trump administration from halting Harvard's ability to enroll foreign students.

President Trump’s visits to Mar-a-Lago and his other business properties raise conflict of interests concerns, with more than half a million dollars in spending at Trump's properties by political entities since the election.
