I’ve been watching our kelp forests decline across my lifetime and it makes me very sad because kelp is cool as hell and supports a lot of marine life so I made a quilt about it.

Happy Pride all - and thank you @benmillett.us for your gorgeous quilt inspiration. I’m going to have to make it again with 10” squares next time, for more presence in my front hallway.

I’m pattern testing a really fun quilt by Adrianna of GettingJazzyWithIt on Etsy. I got the lettering made today.

Start every day with this reality: EVERY HOUSE SEAT and 33 Senate seats are up for election in 2026. THAT must be the focus. Let’s get disciplined. #LeaveNoPowerOnTheTable ballotpedia.org/United_State...

He’s looking pretty awful these days, isn’t he? #hopeful

If your rep has a (R) next to their name, there has never been a better time to make them feel the fury.

they are really going for it with mass detention and that means concentration camps, that means mass deaths, that means plenty of citizens rounded up too, especially political dissidents. if you still can’t see where this train is headed idk what to tell you anymore

Still stabbing away at this “First 100 Days” quilt. Have 11 Fucks left, then all the space in between. Still full of disgust. #ragequilting #politicalquilts

The cruelty. What have we done, America? This is in our names.

Look at this quilt!

It feels like the media is latching on to this Biden stuff (wheelchair rumors + cancer diagnosis) as a way to say see, we told you so,he was too old, it’s not our fault we forced him to drop out and therefor can’t be responsible for the fall of democracy now.

This was really good, inspiring, hopeful, heartbreaking, all in one. What a gift to both the men involved and the children who receive the quilts they pour all of their creative free spirits into.

Political activism via quilting is an American tradition. From the abolitionist movement, through suffrage, the Civil Rights Movement and all the way up to today.

This dog politely asked for a musician's drumstick in the middle of their performance. Always excited to find a fellow stick lover. 12/10

THREAD: We recently heard that the Trump administration was leaning on the government of Gambia to help Elon Musk. For weeks, our team made phone calls, wrote letters and knocked on folks’ doors to try to confirm it. But we were stuck. So our reporters got on a plane to Banjul. 1/

One day he’ll be dead and gone. And somehow we will clean up this fucking mess.
