At our UW Power Up Conference today, there were over 4000 attendees, all likeminded people who wanted to better themselves, as I did. What a fantastic event!! ❤️

Maybe it’s just me, but I think the best bits of travel aren’t always the big-name sights. It’s stumbling across a cosy café you never meant to find, the kindness of a stranger when you took a wrong turn, and those unplanned moments that stay with you long after you’re home. 👍

It never ceases to make me smile, but so often I see little or no comments about a company doing good, but yet the momrnt anything goes wrong prople write in to say they are the worst thing since sliced bread. Never hurts to give a positive shout out when needed.

This may be an unusual opinion but I believe that the best part of travel isn’t always the tourist attractions. It’s the random café you found by accident, the stranger who helped you when you were lost, and the moments you could never plan for. 👍

If you have travelled to Cuba since 2011, but now want to visit the USA, you cannot get an ESTA to enter the country. You need a visa, which is a costly, lengthy process. Should you try to travel on an ESTA, you will be detained & even deported. Check the US ESTA website. esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta

I have just booked two of my regular travel customers on a 14 day Baltic cruise, starting in Southampton (UK) & returning back there. They are travelling with P&O. Going to be a great trip for them, I’m sure.

First visit in many years to @gatwickairport.bsky.social North Terminal, to pick up a friend on a flight from Sardinia. Let’s just say very underwhelmed by the small area in arrivals. Give me the South Terminal any day.

Note to self, don’t get in the wrong lane at Gatwick Airport North Terminal, going through the drop off zone in error to get to the car park. That’s £6 for the car park and £6 for the drop off. My bad, but a mistake I won’t do again in a hurry. Hey ho.

Big shout out to @easyjet re EZY8346 OLB-LGW. Bang on time for a client. Excellent service & really great special assistance for him as he’s partially sighted. The crew were excellent too!! All in all, a very happy customer!

One of the issues I hear as a travel agent here in the UK, is when people visit the USA & go shopping to find that the price on the tag isn’t the price you pay at the till! I always warn people that taxes are rarely included. Living in the U.K. we don’t have this problem (unless you shop at Costco).
