Every extra hour that ICE spends facing off with activists is an hour they can't spend kidnapping other people. Every extra minute ICE has to spend contingency planning around activists and neighbors, every extra officer ICE has to put on a kidnap squad, is a drain on their efficiency.

So Sen. Slotkin wants to cut the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR). That’s just what it sounds like. It’s calculated to be the lowest wage possible to pay foreign guest workers, without having an adverse effect on American wages. Respectfully asking @slotkin.senate.gov: what the fresh hell is this?

It feels worth mentioning that some of the community members we fed included an unsheltered woman in a wheelchair who had 2 broken legs, and a multigenerational family (w/grandparents & children) who just had their water shut off This is why we have to help each other - nobody is coming to save us
