When I went to a Trump Rally in 2016 he slandered General Pershing’s honorable service in the Philippines by congratulating his imprisonment and slaughtering of dozens of Muslim Clerics. The family begged him to stop but he continued for many months.

Our immigration system is broken because Congress failed for close to a century. Enforcement goals have been too strict, the funding they provide law enforcement insufficient, and the paperwork requirements are absurd, expensive, & time consuming. Comprehensive reform is required. Not deportations.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.
