Lady Hale remains my favourite Supreme Court judge:

The NPCC have just declared trans people non-people. They did not need to do this. Police Officers are expected to deal with anything life throws at them. End any and all co-operation with the police. All of it.

Lothian buses are a partner for Edinburgh pride but I’m hearing an unconfirmed rumour that they have just put a trans bathroom ban in place for their employees. This doesn’t sound like a very good partner for pride if this is true! @sophiemolly.co.uk

🏳️‍⚧️ NEW 🏳️‍⚧️ We don't think the interim guidance published by the EHRC and pushed by Bridget Phillipson is lawful. So today we've started legal proceedings against them.

"The stark and needlessly cruel position adopted by the Government and the EHRC... is deeply unkind, far removed from the national mood of mutual respect and live and let live, and is unlawful to boot.” www.thenational.scot/news/2516955...

I'm suing the EHRC. “Akua Reindorf KC, was overheard in the Supreme Court building plotting with activists from other hate groups about the next steps to take once the judgment was delivered. This is one of the factual grounds for the challenge.” open.substack.com/pub/ashleeee...

People wanting to ban trans athletes in this country could do with watching this video and maybe then they’ll get some perspective as to how ridiculous this has become. www.youtube.com/watch?v=flSS...

BREAKING - Translucent has begun the process of taking legal action against the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC). 1/8

Is this something we should be worried about? It looks like the data bill amendment that was defeated in parliament has now passed in the House of Lords? votes.parliament.uk/votes/lords/... @goodlawproject.org @katymontgomerie.com @humanrightsvicky.bsky.social @ameresolicitor.bsky.social

Great so the metropolitan police are openly allowing bigotry... When are they going to start the homophobic staff network? Or maybe they should have a racist staff network? Have you seen this @katymontgomerie.com @indiawilloughby.bsky.social ? www.thepinknews.com/2025/05/09/m...

WELL DONE, EVERYONE!!! And huge thanks to @commonswec.parliament.uk for listening to us and conveying our concerns to the EHRC. Here is the full letter that the WEC sent to Kishwer Falkner. Excellent work, everyone! committees.parliament.uk/publications...

Did I ever post up the letter I got from Kemi Badenoch in 2020? The one where she says the Tory government had no interest in curtailing the use of gendered spaces by transgender people? I think I did not.

Labour has now confirmed in Parliament that it will not support the Data (Use and Access) Bill amendment NC21. As @jessothomson.co.uk @sexabolition.blog and others predicted, panic over.

An opinion piece I wrote is in @scotnational.bsky.social today on the recent Supreme Court judgment and EHRC update. “Trans people’s lives deserve to be made better, not worse.” 🏳️‍⚧️ @lgbtiscotland.bsky.social @scottishtrans.bsky.social
