The promise of buds in the springtime! Kinda makes you forget about possible smoke, hail, drought, diseases, pests…and just focus on now, this beautiful time. Strawberry, penstemon, milkweed, grapes in my garden this morning. 💙🌱 Have a sweet day with flowers in it.

Hi Bluesky friends! 💙 The borage has grown since the last time I posted a photo of it. May 13 compared to June 5. I’ll be doing a first-cutting soon, leaving half the row to flower for the pollinators. The harvested plants will be used for mulch to improve my garden soil. Several cuttings/yr. 🌱

Hi Bluesky! A pretty iris from a previous year. This year, plants are lagging behind because of very cold May. But the cool weather has benefited other crops so we take it as it comes. As if we had a choice (yes, Mother Nature, I hear your voice in my ear). 🌱
