Senator Cory Booker has now beaten Ted Cruz' record for a speech on the Senate floor (21 hours and 19 minutes) in 2013. Way to go, Cory!!!!!! Next up: Senator Wayne Morse of Oregon who lasted 22 hours and 26 minutes in 1953. And only 3 hours to beat Strom Thurman's all-time record! Keep going!

I didn’t create democracy in order for it to be so easily dismantled. It’s meant to be strong, resilient and respected. In my day Trump would have been ostracised. About 10 years ago in fact. When you see an enemy approaching you don’t react, you plan, you seek out allies. You anticipate.
