Bitly is adding advertising interstitials to its free QR code service. Which I guess is part of trying to balance the cost and revenue. But it is also doing so retroactively even for existing codes. Which is a really shitty thing to do.

Remember that in order for hatred to be multiplied, it must be engaged with. Don’t “dunk” on racist/transphoic takes - block them. Don’t entertain trolls and bad-faith individuals - block them. Don’t let the people assailing those you love encroach on YOUR space. Kick them out and lock the door.

One of the really common questions I get with #BadActorBingo is: why would anyone want to DO that? What's their MOTIVE? It's a hard question to answer sometimes, because there's a billion possible answers and some of them make you sound like the guy standing in front of the murder board ranting.
