I knew when I saw Andy Harris drop in a “present” with Garbarino and Schweikert taking a walk that we’d be inundated with this take, which is understandable but wrong. They had 4 more votes if they’d needed them. Republicans did this, they made decisions, they don’t deserve to be excused this way

I visited the public defender office in Jackson in February. Horrifying as this case is, it isn't unusual. PDs say prosecutors routinely withhold discovery, dragging out meritless cases for months or years. When judges finally force their hand, they drop the charges, sometimes the day of trial.

Far right extremists, inspired by Trump per Whitmer herself, tried to kidnap her. Trump himself later suggested it was a fake plot and mocked it. He called her ‘that woman in Michigan’ and led a crowd that chanted ‘lock her up.’ Today Whitmer hugged him on the tarmac. This is why Dems lose. 🤷🏽‍♂️👇🏽
