"[T]he impact is larger than any single lab or the University itself — it is a dismantling of the national research enterprise and the loss of a generation of scientists." www.thecrimson.com/article/2025...

I’m working with the door open and a chipmunk just walked into the room, looked around, and walked out. GOOD OMEN!!!

Psychology leading the way, baby!

Nightmare material!

Turns out Lindsey Graham’s firmly held beliefs on reproductive healthcare are based on his loosely held knowledge of female anatomy.

decades-long manhunt finally ends

Good riddance — but Musk isn’t off the hook for his chaos and corruption. We must hold him accountable.

I love college satire so much

The real replication crisis is Trumpians. They kept replicating.

It’s not Marv Levy … right?

A performative means of discrediting all that earlier, peer-reviewed research that discredits their pet theories.

The key issue with putting contrarians in power is that their platform is entirely based on arguing against the mainstream. Mainstream public health makes mistakes, but on the aggregate it's pretty solid and evidence-based. If you throw out everything mainstream, you're left with a lot of nonsense.

People! @mjalbrzikowski.bsky.social has done a deep dive and discovered the following: 1) Delilah never liked him 2) they were BOTH in New York City - not a long-distance relationship 3) she is uncomfortable about the song

Can’t he pick on Yale for a while?

Guys, I’m not sure, but I think I might be a Humanistic therapist.

asked canada to send me a life time supply of poutine and they are “considering the offer”

For those of you with #NIH grants, are you getting your continuing notice of awards? I imagine many are coming late (if not cut), but how late? Getting nervous about mine... #medsky #academics

As someone who treats previously-healthy kids with ongoing neuropsychiatric sequelae of COVID infection, I will do everything I can to make sure my child is vaccinated.

Same. Infants on ventilators… Athletic teens with MIS-C requiring vasopressors while their heart function looks like a huge anterior wall MI… long COVID cases impacting school and other daily activities… My family will continue to get vaccinated and I’ll continue recommending it to my patients

People work so hard in life only to discover that they fucked up by not being white people who commit fraud

The effects of Covid in pregnancy are devastating and preventable by vaccination; now we have strong data from Penn Medicine that vaccines protect children and adolescents from long Covid

A huge step from HHS that is at odds with science showing significant risks for young children and pregnant women — and that directly contradicts *the FDA's own publication* from last week listing pregnancy as a high-risk condition that would qualify people for this fall's Covid vaccine

PSA that NIH BRAINS RFA is terminated Easy to miss (at least to me and one grants admin) because the change was listed in Notice NOT-OD-25-113, not in the main body of the solicitation

“Food for thought” is such a strange metaphor. I get what it means, but its weirdness is distracting to me.

Every Trump pardon is framed as not about redemption or rehabilitation but as a rejection of the last institution putting any checks on his power. Very convenient for an authoritarian denying due process to claim judges and juries are the corrupt ones.

@scott-delaney.bsky.social has had a front row seat to the Trump admin’s cancellation of NIH grants I caught up with Scott as his project to track research grant terminations became real personal — and his own funds were cut 🧪 www.statnews.com/2025/05/27/n...

Proud of Harvard for pushing back, exercising some creativity, and, maybe, helping folks get some needed education. Harvard is making many of their online government courses FREE. I just signed up for "Citizen Politics in America". They even asked me my Gender. pll.harvard.edu/subject/gove...

The speed at which lawsuits are being filed and TRO’s granted is truly impressive!

One of my most brilliant Ph.D students just had his NIH Diversity Supplement cancelled. This supplement was funding his graduate research on perinatal mental health. I'm out of words -- just sad that trainees are bearing the brunt of the administration's attacks on science. We are eating our young.

“This will destroy the university as we know it. Harvard is situated in the US physically, but its students & faculty hail from around the world; that is fundamental to the work & mission of the institution. You can't take that away & have an institution left." — Kirsten Weld, President Harvard AAUP

There are a few points to make here. Firstly, the statement that this is the most unwell generation of Americans is categorically FALSE. Not "contradicts scientific consensus", it is very simply and in every conceivable way incorrect.

#psychscisky #medsky What do you think psychosis is?

🧵 Occasionally I’ll be speaking to a colleague, and they’ll say something like, ‘the patient is hallucinating, but isn’t psychotic.’ This proposition alway surprised me; I was taught that if someone is hallucinating, that’s evidence of psychosis. … 1/n

The Medicare and Medicaid cuts in the Big Beautiful Bill will kill people directly through loss of health care coverage. They'll kill even more people indirectly by causing the collapse of struggling rural and safety net hospitals that will no longer be financially viable

More persecution of vulnerable people.
