My most random gaming experience was back in 2004. I went to a video game exhibit at the National Museum of Scotland when I was living in Edinburgh. They had a bunch of PCs networked and you could play an early alpha multiplayer version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The game eventually released in 2007. 🎮
