Very pleased to announce Dust4, my first full length album for Curious Music, alongside stunning coloured vinyl editions of the Dust 1-3 EPs. www.curiousmusic.us

I had one of the weirder moments in a weird life last night when I realised that the Black Mirror episode Playthings was inspired by Creatures, a game I worked on in the 90s. Charlie Brooker reviewed it at the time, and apparently it stuck in his head.

I was searching for a word to meaning “having as few rules as possible” and realised how literal “unruly” is. Never struck me before. Isn’t language marvellous?

This collaboration between Nils Frahm and Robert de Niro is currently playing on 6 Music. A 15 minute mixture of grainy folk orchestra and spoken word. Absolutely stunning.

Instead of Bandcamp Friday today, BC's% is going to WILDFIRE RELIEF, 👏. Meanwhile, our own % of Fovea Hex sales today will be going to GAZA via @unicefireland.bsky.social. From €5, collaborators/guests include Eno, Matmos, Abul Mogard, Peter Chilvers & more... bit.ly/3WT3tDX

A glorious glimpse of the Britain I was born into. A beautiful insight into the era that produced Monty Python. youtu.be/p8fOJdmSbdU?...

I didn't realise Brian Eno had worked with Marianne Faithfull, contributing synthesiser, effects and arrangement to this bleakly beautiful track from her album with @warrenellis.bsky.social RIP www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwjo...

This week's Buried Treasure is the limited yellow vinyl version of California, Norfolk (2002), the debut album from Tim Bowness and Peter Chilvers. Numbered first edition of 100 copies with signed postcard. burningshed.com/newsletters/... #musicfeed #musicsky

@bob-boilen.bsky.social Nice to (kind of) meet you this evening. Thanks for being the first to play Bloom all those years ago!

I’ve just had it confirmed that I correctly remembered a joke by @boothbygraffoe.bsky.social despite only seeing him perform live once, thirty years ago. If that’s not a good recommendation I don’t know what is…

Currently enjoying Abul Mogard’s remix of @foveahex.bsky.social’s We Dream All the Dark Away: foveahex.bandcamp.com/track/we-dre... It’s a gorgeous track to lose yourself in for 20+ minutes.

If you’re a creator or work in the creative industries or otherwise have a heart, then please add your voice to this UK Gov consultation on AI and Copyright. I said ‘freelance’ for company and ‘unsure’ for super-granular legal stuff but made my voice heard. You can too. www.gov.uk/government/c...

Today’s adventure in crisp land: KFC flavoured crisps from Germany. Like regular Walkers chicken crisps with a sachet of black pepper per crisp. Oddly compelling.

Bloom: 10 Worlds, first released in 2018 is available again on Android. play.google.com/store/apps/d...

@andrewhunterm.bsky.social Found another for your “names that work as sentences” collection.

Some real gems for vinyl collectors in this prize draw for EarthPercent, an environmental charity co-founded up by Brian Eno. Includes rare items from Eno, John Lennon, REM, Coldplay, The Cure and more. www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/music-priz...

Apparently I’m playing live on Sky Arts at the moment, surround by lots of people with the “Eno” surname.

I just stumbled across this video of one of the biggest and most fun gigs I've ever played, with Karl Hyde at Fuji Rock in 2013. We were joined by Karl's daughter Tyler, now better known for playing with Black Country ; New Road. I think it was her first gig. youtu.be/kQlRUNneZf0?...

I woke up with No-Man’s cover of Nick Drake’s Road going round in my head this morning. It’s much more programmed and precise than the original, but brings out things I hadn’t really noticed before. youtu.be/xtWFotkIBU4?...

So here’s the update. The billionaire owner of the Guardian preparing to get rid of a core part of the news org + 100 journalists. If you’re a Guardian or Observer reader, please share this. The need for a strong, free & independent press couldn’t be greater. Yet, here it is.
