Trump’s address to the nation that Iran’s WMD capability had been “obliterated” smacks of Bush’s “Mission Accomplished” stunt. What followed was 20+ years of immiseration and death. US now out of Iraq. Taliban controls Afghanistan. US has a history of misjudgment post WWII.
