Whilst I don’t believe defections are on the cards from the tories yet, I do think the Tory party might try to change leadership again, if it then results in a move further right, I think we might well be welcoming some new MP’s to the Lib Dem ranks. www.politicshome.com/news/article...

Looking at Sir Geoffrey Cox MP’s declaration of interests, he has to be working roughly 40% of his time as a barrister rather then as a MP maybe I should just call him “Sir 60%”.

Reform UK has uncovered the scandal of a “wasteful” £350m contract. Small problem: it’s not a contract. Or £350m. Or a scandal. Here’s how they got it completely wrong. 👇👇

For Badenoch I suspect it’s simply to pretend she can be just like Farage. As for Farage, well I won’t be surprised if it was about money, power and control, just like Brexit

So it would seem that Zia Yusuf was just attention seeking and now wants to be talked about more in the media www.bbc.com/news/article...

goodlawproject.org/top-five-mps... Poor old Sir Geoff is having to struggle on living so close to the breadline, which is probably why he has had to spend so much time away from parliament earning a crust,

What does the Tories (Mel verses Eliz) Reform and Trump/ Musk have in common? Answer none of them are interested in serving people. Just interested in Power and control.

But despite having massive transport issues in Devon we get nothing ….. Again. Just like the Tories when they were in power, Labour clearly don’t think we are worth the investment. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Some really good news www.twdld.org.uk/news/article...

Another busy day in Tavistock issues raised members joined not a bad day

Enough, hate cannot be allowed to win. You cannot keep blaming everyone else for the shortcomings of the government, past and present. Stop listening to Liars who are only interested in themselves, in money, in power. If you only look after yourself who will look after you?

Yepwe wouldn’t need to be having to beg for this poor deal If we were still part of the EU. Still extra money for Farage and his rich mates

Kemi Badenoch agreed to trade deal tax arrangement, say Indian officials Conservative leader talking ‘rubbish’ after denouncing national insurance carve out #TradeDeal #IndiaUKTradeDeal #KemiBadenoch www.ft.com/content/7f13...

Golly, who knew?!!!!!!!

In the local elections Tory managed just 15% with Lib Dem’s getting 17% it is just a matter of time before this is reflected in polls. Then how long before labour are overtaken by the Lib Dem’s?

YouGov / Sky News / Times voting intention Reform 29 (+3), Lab 22 (-1), Con 17 (-3), Lib Dem 16 (+1), Green 10 (+1)

So Farage and the Tories are complaining about the deal with India, because it allows Indian workers not to pay national insurance for the first two years (making them cheaper to employ then a uk citizen) but when you are losing 4% of GDP every year due to Brexit. This is the consequences.

Yes because that’s the Tories job! ( Tories conveniently forget Brexit and particularly the impact on family farms).

Imagine paying a not insignificant amount of money for an employee to do very full time job. Then that employee telling you that they have another job which pay at least 5 times the amount you pay and they reckon is only taking up a day or so a week. Okay? www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

So Trump gets what he wants ( a promise of Ukraine minerals) and then get bored so moves on to his next chaos event. www.bbc.com/news/article...

So much for the wild claims Trump made before his inauguration. Like some spoilt child he is already planning to “move on” to his next vacuous project. Meanwhile in the real world Ukraine carry’s on suffering . www.bbc.com/news/article...

This behaviour by Trump is self inflicted pain. He will try to bully his way out of this but it won’t be that simple. And even if we do a deal with the USA Brexit has limited are ability to recover our economy from the hit we will have to take to get a deal with the USA (chlorinated chicken anyone?)

Think we are about ready to invite new kittens to share ours ( and our neighbours) lives. Whilst never forgetting our lovely cat that left us last year.

Yep matches our canvassing here in Torridge and Tavistock

Well his is progress for the Lib Dem’s and is reflected on the doorstep canvassing we are doing here in Torridge and Tavistock.

In a dangerous world thought I’d start the day with this

Oh dear, Reform refers there own MP Rupert Lowe to police, ( just after he criticised Farage) somehow i’m not surprised www.bbc.com/news/article...

When Trump says jump is the world just asking how high?

The Liberal Democrats have called on the government to bring forward emergency legislation tomorrow Parliament to begin the seizure of frozen Russian assets and support Ukraine.

If we let Trump/ Vance get away with this they will do worse there has to be consequences to their behaviour.

This is thuggery from Trump and Vance, plain and simple. They are bullying the brave true patriot Zelensky into accepting a deal which effectively hands victory to Russia. Unless the UK and Europe step up, we are facing a betrayal of Ukraine.

Wow just watched the public bullying by Trump and Vance of Zelensky will the world stand by and let them do this?

So apparently it’s Ukraine’s fault that the war started, if they had simply given up land it would have been. Okay! Yeah right, bully backs a bully that’s all that is

Had a really great night last night in Holsworthy at the QT with pasties. You could feel the genuine passion these new MP’s have to serve their communities, we had some fun and they shared how hard they are working every day in Parliament and constituency.

Well what has gotten into Argyle they seem to found their heart playing Liverpool and now 5 goals tonight wow

Well if you’re an Argyle fan ….. it’s been a rare good day

Wow!

Wow this is a long read, but worth it if you’re looking for an understanding of the South West peninsula devolution proposals each council is currently battling to get to grips with. exeterobserver.org/2025/01/29/s...

Tory realises he is on a sinking ship uk.news.yahoo.com/defection-me...

Crucial, important, realistic call from the Lib Dems for a customs union with the EU. And the argument is made in its geopolitical context. Proper leadership. Well done @eddavey.libdems.org.uk

Now that the Tories have started to admit what a mess they made of Brexit we need to do what right for the people not the rich elite which has made money whilst we suffer UK must rejoin EU customs union, says Lib Dem Davey www.bbc.com/news/article...

Well you got to follow him now
