Hey ☁️ #cloudnative ☁️friends!! ✨ big news from Apple today ✨ Want a native way to build Linux containers on Apple hardware? Now you can ✅ — check out the new open source #containerization framework: 👏 github.com/apple/contai... 👏 github.com/apple/contai... Fun fact: it’s written in @swift.org 🙌

I’m playing with the iOS 26 beta now. The thing that jumps out (that wasn’t apparent in the keynote) is it is BOUNCY.

Chan Karunamuni... congratulations.

Minutes from a rumored Apple re-design, I'm thinking about the Family post again. This kind of obsessive attention to making a UI 'make sense' has never been automated and probably can never be. But it's so great, it's how the best stuff gets made.

Ah, RIP. He truly was a “we lived when giants walked the earth” figure of computing. I can’t imagine how different my life would be without QuickDraw or HyperCard.

My WWDC wish list: Accepting an autocomplete in Xcode doesn't delete the token in front of the cursor if there's no space. Am I supposed to want more? I don't care -- I trip over this every day, it's an incredibly irritating tic for an editor, and there's no way to turn it off.

When someone who runs a payment platform says this, you should probably listen to them.

Apple Design Awards out early this year. Congrats to the winners!

I'm still really rooting for them. But fly.io managed postgres is not a serious service.

Working on some SwiftUI elements for a new project today. Stretchy progress bar:

Pretty wild that in the last few months we’ve gotten a partial cure for pancreatic cancer, personalized CRISPR that works (!), and have substantially defunded American scientific research www.nytimes.com/2025/05/15/h...
