The Iraq playbook is back & the media won’t question it. Iran has no nuclear weapons. Israel — on trial for genocide — does. Iran signed the NPT & allows IAEA inspections. Israel hasn’t — & its leaders face ICC arrest warrants. Beware of politicians beating the drums of war.

This is richly deserved. I believe this to be a classic of the future. Alchemy of the word. One if the most engaging books I've read in years. Highly recommend.

I have no doubts as to how good I believe this will be. Other book/s* also available, by the same person, if you can't wait. *At least one, tbh not sure if I've looked for others but again, same.

It’s time to resolve the issues of access to the English countryside once and for all. That must mean legislating for a widespread right to roam covering land and water, which removes access islands, allows responsible wild camping in national parks and increases connectivity to nature for everyone👇🏻

#OnThisDay 19 May 1969 CORONATION STREET 50 YEARS HENCE Let us go no further than 50 years hence and wonder whether there will be a nostalgic demand for a revival of #CoronationStreet (Or, dreadful thought, will the series still be running) . . .

5 weeks to go before we hit the magic date in Daniel Hannan's fever dream post-Brexit Britain paradise. If you haven't read his article before, you must! In the 9 years since the referendum, it has never been bettered. Wrongness so dense, it's formed a black hole. www.reaction.life/p/britain-lo...

How old am I? Old enough to remember what the Deputy Prime Minister looks like.

If you're struggling with the rhetoric from Labour and pretty much every major western govt. May I suggest, the tens of millions of reasons for it, are contained within this: interactive.carbonbrief.org/climate-migr...

Good afternoon all you gorgeous publishing professionals. With teacher, writer and SEN mum hat on, here is something I wrote a while ago for @thebookseller.com on access - which they kindly made open access! www.thebookseller.com/comment/quer...

Superb analysis by @lewisgoodall.com on the Supreme court judgement on definition of sex today and why it should have been debated and decided in Parliament and not in the courts.

Watching BBC Breakfast for the first time in ages. My God! I would say the intellectual target level of the content is akin to early 90s Newsround. It's as though they are broadcasting to under-13s. Is our adult pop. really so daft?

The richest 10% own 57% of all wealth, but most of it isn't earned – it’s inherited or inflated by rising asset prices. Yet we tax income, not wealth. That’s not just unfair, it’s bad economics. But there are better solutions than wealth taxes | Stephen McNair @eastangliabylines.co.uk

This is, in large part, pandemic revenge. As far as these oligarchs are concerned, all science does is tell them stuff they cannot do. They can't keep spewing carbon. They can't keep businesses open as usual when millions are dying. They have concluded that research is the enemy of profit.

That's actually quite good. Let's do a hashing #drgrobotcheddick
