'Celtic' stone heads are a Glossop speciality. Hard to date - some medieval, others from the 19th C druidic revival, others modern. However some are plausibly Romano-Celtic - so perhaps a very deep-rooted tradition here? This one was found at Mouselow, Glossop and is in Buxton Museum. #FindsFriday

A quick dash out on #StandingStoneSunday to check measurements of Llech Idris (Idris’ stone): 3.2m tall & thrown from Cadair Idris (mountain in distance under its own white cloud) by the giant Idris. The stone also features some carved Ogham on one side and what look like steps up the other(?)
