Consider how, up til now, if you couldn't find a book, you just didn't have that book. It was not available to you. Now, if you search for a book, odds are you'll get a thousand shitty genAI regurgitations of that book, weird sketchy print on demand listings, that book remixed and digested.

A key element in cyberpunk fiction is digital archeology. The Internet has collapsed at least once under a tide of scams and spam, corporations have crusted over every archive with DRM, etc. People have to dig through mountains of shit to find useful things, basically.

Lots of writing advice will tell you to avoid adverbs at all cost. Freaking weaksauce. TRUE writers will also avoid verbs. Wait... ummmmm.... Verbs BAD. Nouns only. (Maybe adjectives?) Verb-free writing strong. Muscular prose without unnecessary verbs. No verbs, just vibes. OK?

Sheep used to go to heaven and goats to hell, but for the past 3 weeks I have had an endless stream of sheep and goats materializing in my living room. Pretty sure I even spotted a gazelle. Don't know what the hell is going on with the ruminant afterlife but this is becoming a damn nuisance.
