I feel like there should be a integration be between Google Calendar and your HR tools that sends you a bill for every meeting you run. That meeting could have been an email instead it cost you $800k in people's time. #ProductManagement

It's turtles all the way down.... #ai #softwaredevelopment #agile #productdevelopment Gonna model myself as a concierge product manager. Like the Etsy version. This isn't drop-shipped AI prod management, it's hand made. This post and meme, ironically were NOT generated with AI.

So the reason the clients hired us for this tourism-related project was that they were pulling all of these patterns from analytics and trying to understand behavior by modeling based on that, and arguing. It was all expensive nonsense, which became so clear within the first 3 research interviews.

Simpler times?

if you (eventually) left twitter because it’s a disinfo weapon and Nazi bar, i have some news for you about Substack (we shouldn’t have to work this hard to get folks to listen when we put out a call for solidarity and ask folks not to use the Nazi internet)

I feel so incredibly lucky that I live in a city full of product managers who want to nerd out about the contexts and nuances in our field for hours. We even had 3 people from out of town this week! Come hang out in Toronto. ProductTO.org

Bit late to the party on this one, but I'm consistently impressed by @hazelweakly.me Her post about building AI tools backward correctly captures everyones frustration with AI tooling, but also posits ways OUT of this mess. Read it. hazelweakly.me/blog/stop-bu...

One of the biggest professional regrets of my career: Not fighting harder against a terrible naming decision and allowing them to make an acronym with a W in it.

Opens e-mail to see a writing opp paying $2(!) a word…and the whole thing is sponsored by OpenAI.

To get a #designsky discourse going: after making AI mandatory for work last month, Shopify is At It Again. The CDO says since "AI enables anyone to make things usable" (lol), Shopify will just have the titles Designer and Writer instead of user experience, content design, etc. Aesthetics-ass idea

What does it mean to build and grow a product if software development did get 20-30x faster? Another banger from @richmironov.bsky.social www.mironov.com/ai-bottlenec...

fucking hell, it seems that as a result of AI slop fake candidates including North Korean fake employee rings, ATSes like Greenhouse are now requiring people to apply and verify their wallet ID names to even get interviewed for jobs :( this sucks for trans people www.fastcompany.com/91350897/gre...

For folks who are still using or prefer Substack; outside of the newsletter functionality and the online archive logic, what exactly about it is holding you there?

"Did you know that those sites used the words you typed anyway and incorporated them into their profile of your interests and preferences?" www.anildash.com//2025/05/27/... @anildash.com Wow... Great article!

This, but also: people in tech know that every 10x developer has 10 people behind them cleaning up the mess they make.

This tiny device can shrink dangerous blood clots. It’s called the ‘milli-spinner’ and its invention was partly an accident…
