tfw nobody wants your hot pants summer playlist (which I did admittedly have set to private by mistake)

My neighbour has moved out and it feels really odd not having the bell go to buzz in her food delivery at 5pm every day. What about my routines, Jillian???

Hope everyone is having a fantastic summer and nothing bad is happening #hotpantssummer

rs21 Scotland are hosting a public meeting on 'Organising at work for Trans Liberation' Wednesday 2nd July 7pm, at the Iona Room, Augustine Church, 41 George 4th Bridge, Edinburgh EH1 1EL. Also on Zoom: OutSavvy: www.outsavvy.com/event/28461/...

My gut & nervous system has been in a horrible anxiety hole all day but now i'm feeling a little better and i just ate some toast which was amazing, feeling thankful to be alive at the same time in history as toasters existing.

Guy in the street gave me a quizzical look, presumably due to my facemask, despite the fact he was dressed in a full tweed suit and tiny antique cap looking like an etching of a posh Edwardian child on a special occasion.

This young Grey Seal pup was enjoying life on the Isle of May beach yesterday. This is one of two which have been around the jetty areas for a few months

I am pleased to confirm that a big brown rat leapt from a bin directly across my path as I was walking home from the train station. I've really missed this sort of night drama.

I am pleased to confirm that I have successfully Horsegirled

my friend stef cooked up a bunch of great beats and remixed the verse i posted here a while ago :) NO COPS AT PRIDE!

It's Don't Argue Inside Your Head With Other People Friday. Today, if you find yourself arguing inside your head w/someone who's not present, practice gently moving your mind away. Do this as many times as you need--every internal argument is a chance to practice.

Wire mix & Q&A: Twin Peaks’ Lori Eschler & Dean Hurley Composer Dean Hurley and music editor Lori Eschler reflect on the experience of working on David Lynch and Mark Frost’s cult classic Twin Peaks and compile a mix of music highlighting its abiding influence www.thewire.co.uk/audio/tracks...

Spent all day waiting for the gas engineer, of course it turns out they're not actually due until tomorrow. What am I like.

Had to miss some things recently due to being ill, so was determined to "take it easy" this week, get early nights etc, so I could maybe go to the Horsegirl gig on Sunday. As it goes, it's taken *one fucking day* of UK & US news to make my ulcerative colitis flare badly again anyway. Fucksake.

POTS POTS POTS

And there's Trans Lifeline in the US.

And of course Mermaids...

Another UK org...

In the UK...

Donate to charities like the Trevor Project if you can, if you can't then share their posts and let people know their services are available. If anything positive can come out of this it might at least be raising awareness of their service.

It is once again raining like a son of a bitch.

It's days like today that I'm very aware that being stuck in my flat by myself (which I am generally v grateful for) is not great when I'm in a negative mental spiral, & just need some friendly (or any) distraction, something to give me a little bump back onto the track

I guess it's juvenile but I found this trailer very funny. #spookygame

I had a dream that I was meant to be playing an improv set with a couple of other people, but instead of playing the set I spent the entire time trying to find all the little gadgets, correct toy keyboards, contact mic etc (can that go straight into my mini speakers? Where are those anyway?)

Without exaggeration, this song (& I Went To Sleep) caused a revelatory shift in my understanding that allowed me to approach writing my own songs without worrying about perceived notions of correct songwriting, or not having "something to say". Thank you, Brian. www.youtube.com/watch?v=saQB...

Not considered a "cool" BB song, but a pinnacle goofy Brian number for me, rendered absolutely beautifully, the vocal arrangement always bewitches me, and the little synth sounds like shooting stars.

There used to be better versions of this on Youtube but they're gone so please crank your screen brightness. 🔆

🥲

Most people think the theremin is just for aliens, maybe ghosts. Only Brian Wilson had the true vision that it could also be for summertime sweetheart jams
