Aside from the collapse of the food supply chain which is bad enough in itself, the towns around the farms which relied on the workers spending their wages in their grocery stores etc are about to collapse too.

“When I started taking the drug, I’d look at the smooth, cylindrical capsule in my hand and consider the fact I was about to swallow something that costs about the same as a new iPhone. A month’s supply ... is the same price as a new Nissan Versa.” By @davidarmstrongx.bsky.social‬

Look at those lowlife thugs. They look like cartel kidnapping team.

Edith Edmunds, who is 99 years old, the art of quilt making is inextricably linked to the Black struggle for freedom. That's why she plans to be sewing Thursday on Juneteenth.

Concurrently terrifying and erotic Goodnight

It can be hard to prioritize self-care when you feel like everything around you is under attack, that's why we're bringing back this classic by Ellis Schwamm to talk about what you can do to make it easier to deal with all of the anti-trans rhetoric and chaos. www.scarleteen.com/read/cultu...

"I asked ChatGPT" "I asked Grok" Well, I asked the High Priest to consult the Urim and Thummim on his breastplate to divine the will of the Holy One but they stopped giving answers after King David’s reign so I had to go use actual research skills instead to get the answers I needed.

This is genuinely one of the reasons for the conservative authoritarian war on science -- the universe doesn't care if you believe in it or not.

I almost posted this story yesterday and didn’t because I’m working through my feelings about the fact that they did the trials on Africans but the treatment is so expensive that Americans might not even be able to afford it

These are very bad times. But there are a lot of good people here. We must continue to take care of one another and fight for one another. That's always been the work, that's always the work.

I had planned tomorrow off. At the beginning of the year work sent the "holiday sheet" & tomorrow was off. They changed it to friday not saying anything. I had been planning all week to be off & sleep in tomorrow. Nope. Friday they gave us off. Tomorrow. No banks or mail. But we are off friday.

The decision in Skrmetti lets politicians create their own evidence to justify banning necessary healthcare. It's bad, writes @evanurquhart.bsky.social. Not just for trans people, but for anyone whose healthcare is or could potentially be politically contested. Read more here:

I spent a lot of time Mon & Tues trying to get medication for the cats. I was at my wits end & I will admit I had a few tears. Yesterday we made a 4th backup plan in case the meds did not come today. Not only did they come, but the 1st place I ordered from also sent meds. I wasn't expecting that /1

The SCOTUS ruling in U.S. v. Skrmetti confirms what we know: this government is crooked and ignorant. Trans kids deserve care, safety, and bodily autonomy. We must remind them of their history, the sacredness of community, and that no government gave them their power—and no court can take it away.

35 House members said they are troubled by the Agriculture Department's plans to collect personal data from people who applied for federal food assistance, and urged the effort to "immediately cease."

If you need to get out, don't feel any guilt about trying to make it happen.

All my love to fellow gender dropouts, to the trans folks, to the queers, to the gender deviants. They can't legislate you or me out of existence because someone just like us is being born right now. And that will keep happening. And we will do everything we can to build the world they need.

Not all the news is bad, Maine continues to stand up in defense of trans kids.

🧵

Let me hold your hand when I tell you... trans kids getting gender affirming care has absolutely nothing to do with you. Leave trans kids alone.

JUST IN: The Supreme Court upholds Tennessee law that bars gender-affirming care for minors.

"In sadness, I dissent" is a helluva first thing to read online today 😭

ErinReed 17 Jun 25 -- As happened with trans prisoners denied care, a fed judge grants class certification for _all_ trans people seeking passports w/ correct gender (or "X" designation) not just the named plaintiffs in the current pending lawsuit on this matter. @rikiwilchins.bsky.social

What in the… The weird houseplant that I don’t know what it is flowered while I was gone! And I think it’s some kind of Stapelia?

By 2027, Kraft Heinz says all artificial food dyes will be replaced with natural colors. The move comes two months after federal officials called on food companies to stop using synthetic dyes.

That’s a tough question. Resisting masked armed thugs in any circumstance can get you beaten or killed by the armed thugs. If the masked armed thugs are agents of the U.S. government it will also get you prosecuted for “assault on a federal officer” or “resisting arrest.” /1
